What was the problem with Niemi's mask last night? Darren Pang was bitching about it on Twitter saying it shouldn't be doing that and must be cheaply made or something like that.
Well I think part of it was the Flyers goon squad running the goalie. But I didn't read anything about his mask be defective or anything like that.

Where did BigPete actually go? I don't think I've seen him post since we moved.

Pang is a dumb ass. There was a shot that hit the strap that holds his helmet on and it snapped it off. They clearly mentioned it on the broadcast. Maybe Pang, like JR, is bitter he never won in Chicago.

They can both just shut the **** up.

The depth of this team is quite scary. Great sign for the team that they came away with the win despite the PP differential and not playing their best game. Got to meet Bobby Hull quickly last night and take a picture, that was very cool. Hossa was a beast last night and I was very happy to see Brouwer notch two goals. Go Hawks!
As far as the officials are concerned, the most pathetic display imo was dumbass O"Hallaran getting in the way of Brouwer as he was flying up the wing towards the Creamsicles goal.

Nothing like having an idiot zebra act like an extra D-man for your team.
...and the worst part was that O'Hallaran deliberately seemed to go towards the front of net and impede Brouwer instead of getting the **** out of the way.

This match-up is going to be fun to watch over the course of the series. You could see the nastiness right from the get go!

First time I've seen more than one buckle pop off from a shot....

$1000 mask, 50 cent buckles.... Surprised it doesn't happen more often

Niemi's concentration in making a save when it was flying off was incredible....

I agree. I watch the refs and often notice them doing little subtle things that can impact a game. They should just start mowing them down if they get in the way.

Mask's made By Greg Harrison didn't ever just "come off" after a shot to face. What's up with Niemi's mask? How can it just pop off?

That's a pretty innocuous comment, if not a bit tongue-in-cheek. Aren't Greg Harrison masks the old-school white face-hugging masks?

Yep.

The strapping was different on them as well.

It's not uncommon to have a buckle pop off if hit in the right place.

I would just love to know what in the hell O'Hallalaran was thinking just staying there and not getting the hell out of the way with Brouwer and the Philly player coming right at him.

What freakin ass clown.

Didn't know where to post this, didn't want to start a new thread: How much does it cost to park? IE, are the $25 lots more expensive?

As opposed to the $20 lots, yes, the $25 lots are more expensive.
