And the best start in NBA history is the 93-94 Rockets at 15-0... They finished 58-24... still won a championship. But no where close to the record.

I was looking at their schedule and its a perfect storm if you want to talk about ten losses or less.

The next two could challenge them, if they are going to lose it will be because the Clippers rivalry in L.A. is as bad a game for them as they have scheduled, or because a combination of Brooks/Mirotic/McBuckets/Buckets just blows the doors off from 3 point range while Gasol has above average games.

Its possible, but when I reviewed their schedule I was thinking if the Raptors, Clippers, or Bulls can't get them, then they might run 25-0 because they have patsies for a bit after that.

They have 2 big games scheduled against the Spurs this year....in the final 3 games!! lol. So they may get a Spurs team resting Parker/Duncan/Ginobli for playoffs. Even Aldridge who is injury prone and may need some rest at that time.

The Warriors look dedicated to competing every night all season to me. Hopefully the Clippers get them in the next game, hopefully Rose comes back and gives us a chance.
Hopefully Rose wouldn't let an ankle determine him missing that game, or we have to continue to worry about his mental state.

Starting January 18th, here is their schedule:
at Detroit
at Cleveland
at Bulls
vs. Pacers
vs. Spurs
vs. Dallas

That's a fun 6 games in a row. Also, they've only played 12 games. They still need to play 85% of their schedule.

im starting to think GS can do it. I know we are only 12 games into the season but when you look around the league its pretty much GS and a ton of teams around .500. seems like the right season and scenario for it to be pulled off

I still think they'll slow down at some point. I think they'll get close though. Mind you they were only 6 games off last season.

I'm not gonna say they can't do it. If you've actually watched them play, I don't think you'd totally dismiss the idea. They have by far the best team defense, by far the best offense. No other team so far has looked that great. I don't want them to get 72 but I think if they really wanted it they could do it

exactly, that's what is scary. they were 6 games off last year and that was under a 1st year head coach implementing his style of play. they look even better this year and the rest of the league looks worse than last year so far

I think that's the key... If they want to or not. The NBA has been all about rest lately and thus teams have clearly taken some nights off as to be prepared for the playoffs. GSW may decide they want to break this record this year, thus they go all out.

GSW could do it I think. But I said the same thing about the Big 3 Heat so who knows?

Thats the X factor here, if they want it bad enough. They already won a championship. They have Steve Kerr dangling that carrot, giving them something even higher to play for. Immortality.

So...I hope the lose tonight. Even better would be the Bulls ending the streak tomorrow.

They are approaching a bunch of records. Best start by a defending champion, best start, then longest streak in team history, and longest streak. They have looked just a bit tired in their last two which isn't surprising playing on a mission to win every quarter seemingly with everyone gunning for you.

Curry isn't fair, he stretches the court so badly, it really is to Jordan impact level when you require a double team out to 30 feet. I mean what he is doing to defenses right now gives an unfair advantage to his very good teammates that nobody has really played with before. It's not Jordan, it's something different. Something never seen before, but the impact on compromising defenses to stop one player is similar to Wilt, Kareem, Jordan.

I think they lose one. If they beat @clippers, followed by Bulls on a back to back....well ****. Then we are going to be waiting for like an injury or the Spurs, that stretch in January looks promising to knock some losses on.

Didn't think that record would ever be broken, but I think they have a small chance of doing so. They play extremely well together, both offensively and defensively. Plus they have the best player in the game. I still think they'll lose 12-17 games but who knows.

I am a believer in the GS Warriors. They have the best back court in NBA history in my estimation and Curry is one of the best if not best outside shooters of all time. Yeah some good team will catch them on a bad night or two certainly, but this is one of the best teams of all time. No question about it.

if GS were able to win a game like this one, at Clippers and down 23 at one moment well, they are a hell of a threat

That was as fascinating a basketball game as we will see this year. Epic.

The Clippers are a great club with every piece and answer a team could want, even the truth knocking down big shots. They traded 6 3's or something there down the stretch. Insane. The Clippers came out and gave everything you could ask, Paul hit his first 7 shots. They led 28-6 or something in points off turnovers. They forced over 20 turnovers. They did everything.

then Golden State hits 8 of 9 three's in the fourth. lol.

I just wanted to say you couldn't ask for a more high profile chance at early season recognition then the table set for the Bulls tomorrow. Rose might have double vision going against X-ray vision, so whatever happens we have room for improvement. If Jimmy thinks he can defend Curry by himself he is going to be mistaken and shamed.

Literally nobody can. I hope the Bulls are smart enough to realize the Clippers face these guys best shot frequently and to follow all they do. Put 7 footers around the top of the key, stop ball at 35 feet and steer him to the outside to your lengthy help. Then have more help down low.

We can't create turnovers and run, so I'm not sure what chance we have. But they will have to respect Gasol with Bogut which slows them down some. I don't think they can Green Gasol, but Green is going to give Mirotic problems.

If Dougie, Brooks, Niko and Rose show up on offense maybe we can give them issues and make the 3 game even if GS has an off night.

They spent ALOT of energy tonight on the Clippers. Being down 23 trying to defend their perfect season against a hated rival...they pretty much spent as much energy as you will ever see in a regular season game, and now they draw the deepest team in the league on a back to back. Only way this could be worse for Golden State is if it was on the road in Chicago or Cleveland, OKC or San Antonio.

the table is set. If we don't win I think Luke Walton will be an undefeated coach until someone hires him. Lol...does Houston hire him next month?

Its Bulls or 23-0 looking at the record. its the NBA and anybody can go off on any night, a game like we walked into in Charlotte could happen of course at any time, thats what makes 72-10 so difficult.

Our depth and rotations could really give them problems if they have to go into deep rotations to recover from energy spent tonight. No doubt our team just watched that on the road trip and is absolutely amped for this thing.

Tonight is going to be fun. Gasol needs to abuse them and force them to play Bogut heavy minutes. All our bigs do. We need to control possessions and get back, defend, play half court Bulls basketball and hopefully have a smart plan for Curry who will humiliate you if you give him any space whatsoever.

Even if the Warriors started 22-0, they would still need to finish 50-10 (.833) to finish 72-10. It would take a lot.

You know what's really impressive? The Bulls had their share of injury problems (and the Rodman suspension) in 1996-97. And they still finished one Scottie Pippen three-pointer at the buzzer short of 70-12. And that was back when the league wasn't quite as top heavy with superstars.

If you look back at the Bulls during that season, their last 3 losses were each by a single point. LOL... could have easily been 75-7 which certainly would have stood the test of time.
