Well, that's just a guess. They reported that the planet is 10-20 times farther out than Pluto, is a gas planet and is about the size of Neptune. Like many, that's a head scratcher to say they detect it's gravitational pull.

We detect black holes by the effect of their gravitational pull because as the name implies they are black and hence don't emit any light.
