Blah...blah...blah... They are wasting the productive healthy years of the core.

Graphically modified for truthful effect.

gotta start somewhere, difference is where Roy started he won.

agreed. Dineen wasn't and NHL coach before this year, and he did a great job this first season.

Exactly.

I often wonder why many think that coaches like goalies just need to get recycled around the league when there is so much talent out there just waiting for their opportunity. Whether it is the discussion of what goalies would work in Chicago, who would make a good coach, etc.

Additional credit is due for Dale's thinking outside of the norm and looking for a good qualified HC even though they may not have had previous experience in the NHL. Those future coaches, goalies, players, GM's had to start somewhere.

Montreal is a little different scenario IHF. Same as Toronto would be.

Well, Savard, Yawney were not quite excellent choices, but I'm not sure how much of that was Pulford.

And yet Savy may end up being a coach again somewhere......

Too busy shining someone elses shoes.

Which makes me wonder how much longer that payment will continue.

I have often wondered how long they offered to pay Dale after his firing and become another "ambassador".

you mean payments. Savard isn't the only one shining shoes. Dale had no intention of becoming and Ambassodor IMO. He was an "advisor" after they acted with Clown Shoes.

You may be right, but Dineen had extra "assistance" per se. He was an AHL head coach for a couple years (similar to how Guy Boucher landed in Tampa) with Portland when they were under Duck control. Not to take away anything from Roy again, but I value AHL over QMJHL experience any day of the week.

In short, I kind of expected Dineen to be a force. I saw the same way with Boucher when he first started two years ago with Tampa and look what happened there.

Former Hawks, now GMing...

Wilson-San Jose(For how long remains to bee seen)

Murrary-Anaheim(For how long remains to bee seen)

Tallon-Florida

Bergevin-MTL

Sutter, a former GM, is coaching LA.

And Pully's son-in-law is the GM of the Kings.

Still no excuse for the Hawks to go out in round 1 this year. They had the Cap room and for whatever reason chose not to address team needs, but rather plug in rejects on the cheap. We heard all the rumors McD's meddling, Stan's ineptitude, to Rocky not allowing new sizable contracts. Whatever the true reason they have no problem increasing ticket prices without improving the team. They are wasting the productive healthy years of the core.

Quoted again to highlight the truth.

Rocky has other pressing matters...

“The playoffs are exciting, but this is something we spent a lot of time and a lot of effort doing,” says Mr. Wirtz, 59. “It's going to set Wirtz Beverage Illinois up for 20 years. It's something not for my generation but for future generations.”

Kruger, Olsen, and Pirri were Tallon picks.

Clendening was abolutely worthless in the World Juniors against Canada. Just terrible.

Shaw. Love him. The rest? Remains to be seen.

As far as Nick Leddy... great skills moving the puck. Has absolutely sucked as a defender. But part of that is due to how the coach utilized him.

Stalberg would be great in the playoffs if the Hawks played Columbus in four rounds.

Junior does not know how to build a playoff team.

In response to your comments in order of being posted:

My mistake, I forgot he was shit canned AFTER the draft.

Judging a guy on one game is the worst thing any person can do. So your opinion is invalid if all you have is an opinion based off one game for Clendening.

The Hawks were given a high grade on this past years draft. Grant it yes, they will take a while to develop but lets not throw the rest under the bus.

I agree on your points of Leddy being poor defensively. Still very young and has plenty of time to develop. Wish he was still in the AHL so he could develop his defensive side.

Stahlberg has his highs and lows. Great speed, hard shot, long reach. Terrible stick skills, okay defensively, leaves a lot to desire.

While funny in some sense, I find it more tragic then anything else. All because of one non-hockey man and his arrogance.
