For folks that think he wouldn't fly back to Minnesota to announce he's leaving, he laughed: "this is where I live."[/background]

Michael Russo@Russostrib

Parise, as affable as always, said this is "so much harder a decision than he I thought it would be."

Michael Russo@Russostrib

Parise has no timetable, says is "so much more than the money. That plays a very small part in it." #MNWild

Michael Russo@Russostrib

talked to Zach Parise at MSP. He says he has not made a decision and he and his fiancée will talk today. "that has not started." #MNWild

Has anyone read anywhere over the weeks leading up to FA how the Devils plan on paying the $70 mil loan they owe to their various banks? How exactly are they being allowed to make offers and have signings that will bring them to the upper limit of the cap and yet still owe everyone and their mother? This is bullshit. Insolvent teams shouldn't be allowed to do jack shit.

I'm not suggesting Parise is lying, but multiple players who know him very well made it clear he's made a decision #NHL

LOL, I told y'all these mo-fos know what teams they are choosing between and have gone over this shit with their agents long before FA opens. Hence the tedious delaying is pissing me off. He and his people need to just come out and say they won't announce it until after the 4th of July/

If he stays a devil, then he is an idiot in my book, casue fatso, only has a year or two left, then what, rebuild, thats not what he is looking for. Minny is five hours away from Chicago, Im not saying this because Im a hawks fan, but the core is in prime now, and he wants to win now. why not. we have a great farm team, I think some great young talent showed what they can do last year as far as the call ups. Make the move. It would make the most sense for him and us. All I can say can you amagin the lines we would roll

And can you imagine how off the wall that Q's line generator would make?

Sign Suter. Offer Keith to Edmonton for some of their young forwards.

oh and watch a few other teams while you are at it. Keith has an overall better skill set also. if you actually watched the preds play esp in the playoffs you would see how slightly over rated suter is. people bash Keith for not showing up every game. Suter is no different and he has yet to produce at all in the playoffs unlike Duncs. So pay more for Suter (which will be unavoidable)..slightly downgrade the blueline and ask the Oilers to deal who? Ain't getting any of the Oilers real young guns for Keith. They aren't dealing them...we would get Gagne. And a Gagne return for Keith just to get Suter in the lineup and to overpay for him would be one of the dumbest moves in franchise history.

acco i disagree. its never idiotic for a player to want to stay with the franchise that has showed devotion to them even if it means that they may get a better shot at winning somewhere else. in fact it can be honorable.

It's only "honorable" if they don't desire the ultimate "winning" in sport which is hardware. If said athlete is fine with the status quo and just doing their best and settles for this then fine---whatever floats their boat.

It's pretty moronic from a logical outsider's perspective though. It's hard for me to reconcile and accept personally after living through the Jordan years.
