Any Blackhawk fan cheering for Chelios is a dumb mother ******......

Well **** all he can really sell him on is the club history the past few decades. The Holland and Babcock angles.

Cuz you can't sell him on that run-down piece of shit the Joe has become in a city that will never and I do mean NEVER EVER be able to build them a new barn or rehab the current one.

Also can't really stress too much how he and Kronwall would comprise the whole stud factor for the D.

Pretty much, he has to just sell him on life in Grosse Pointe, Bloomfield Hills or Auburn Hills et al because really, what can someone say about Detroit proper?

Keith or Suter, I would go with Keith, I know what Keith does every game, I don't know if Suter is showing up every game. I would also think Keith Is at the same level as Suter if not a notch better for a lot less.

#redwings weren't only team to meet w Suter today. #MNWild owner Craig Leipold, GM Chuck Fletcher & coach Mike Yeo just landed from Madison[/font]

Michael Russo@Russostrib

Agent Neil Sheehy was also on the flight. Wild clearly picked up Sheehy in Intl Falls and gave him lift to Madison for both mtgs#MNWild

If I can sign Suter and pair him with Seabrook all the while acquiring scoring assets (like a 2nd line center we so desperately need) then it's a winning proposition. Keith winning the Norris was a direct result of his playing partner. Many would say Seabrook was playing better than Keith at the end of his Norris Trophy winning season. Same is being said about Suter that he is a product of playing with Weber.

Therefore we lose nothing on the back end and acquire players to add to the current and future roster.

I would be working a deal for Iginla, but thats just me. Id take keith and his Cap Hit any day of the week over the 7 mil cap hit Suter is about to cause. And keep Keith with Seabrook.

90+ mil for 13 years < 72 mil 13 years

Why go through all that work to sign a replacement for Keith when you can keep him for cheaper and just package Hjalmarsson off?

Exactly. And if you lose out on Parise, which I'm sure they will, go after Iginla and get Feaster some young talent for his rebuilding mode. Could package Hjarlmarsson with Mcneil, Morin or any other good prospects he wants. Without killing out the pipeline.

After all of this Suter and Parise will both re-sign and not go any where.

You can get what you want with Hammer assuming you are talking about Gagner....cause thats all you are getting from the Oilers. If you want to talk about what sort of return you could get with Keith then yes obviously it would, could and should be higher.. you can look at guys like Perry (if he wasn't a rw it would be an option to think about in your scheme). Oilers probably also have at least three 6 million dollar plus per year contracts to think about in the future...possibly 4 of them. They need good young blueliners but they need the more affordable types. And Hammer is still good even though the fans here have shrunk his stock.

Oilers claim their blueline prospects are coming along really well anyways.

Does Keith have a NTC?
