So they want to rot in Minnesota?

Ok... buhbye attention craving idiots.

If that's where they sign, their may not "rot". Minny has a couple of high end prospects that will be in the line up next season CBA.

Minny may have played this really well. In addition to having Tom Gilbert on the roster, they just signed Jake Dowell. Gilbert was a teammate of Suter for a year in Madison. Dowell, including Wisconsin and the US Development team, played 3 seasons with Suter.

I know... I'm just mad they're not coming here.

I just really hate how they're playing it out. Reporters have said that even some players in the league know where they're going to sign. The decision was made day(s) ago and now they're just stringing everyone along. Never thought I'd see something even remotely close to "The Decision" in the NHL.

Yup. I am praying this guys twitter acct. wasn't hacked because otherwise he seems like a reliable source based on his bio and his followers.

Thank you Baby Jesus! Things will start happening again at least bright and early on Thursday morning!

Also? Just got to add that if they land there. MIN? Yeah, even with their rather sterling prospect pool I am gonna have to say Zach and Ryan don't have a feverish Cup lust. They must want to be a part of the rebuild. NEXT!

ex North Star, ex player agent, ex NHL GM,

as much as players want rings. I think more want to be the man that helps lead them there.....

If these two turds go to Detroit I'm going to be really upset... lose arguably one of (if not) the greatest overall defenceman of all time... starting to have their stars getting older and then landing one of the biggest FAs in a long time and a young, high potential dman?

I don't think they'll both go to Detroit.

Lets be honest, which is more attractive, Minnesota or Detroit?

players don't have to spend everyday in the city they play in. most don't unless they are the lower end quality.

i don't know about Chicago but in van a whole thank of the roster players don't live here except during the season...and at that time they aren't really living here either.

never understood that argument ton. six mill a year can buy more than one house.

Sure, they don't have to, but when you are signing 10-year deals and plan to start a family, I'd think you'd want to actually play in the city that you want to live in and start your family.

Yea I don't get it. This move does not make Miny a team that even remotely has a chance to win a Cup. Maybe they hope within 13 years they get one.

Bullshit. Two players do not make a winning team. The Wild are so defensively challanged one Suter is not jesus/Wild savior.

That's why I don't understand if this is the decision. Maybe in 3-4 years they build around them but WTF is going to be the other superstar Clutterfuck? A injury prone Koivu? A disappearing Heatly?

Yea right.

this is a different lifestyle than any fan could understand ton. families are raised different in pro sport settings. the $$$ these guys make can make something easier and counter the odd things.

the wives etc of these players know what they are getting into and the trade offs. again the money can make a lot of things easier.

its a world of their own.

Now it's official per LeBrun. Both 13 year deals per Russo.
