I agree with what you are saying.
I feel that Q might have been looking over his shoulder and thinking that Havvy was waiting in the wings to replace him should he slip up. If the Hawks make that move now, they have to go out and find someone to take over the reins and then pay three coaches, 2 of which aren't working....
Or, they could had the reins over to Kitchen.
I think that's pretty close to what it was. Haviland was Stans guy IMO. The power struggle was between Stan and Q and how the team was being coached, IE where Smith pops in from Daddy Stan.
Mess to say the least. And to give Q some defense I have NEVER seen a coach, who wasn't a coach, thrown into the mix 3/4 of the way into the season. Supposedly there was a pretty big outburst between them at a practice and Smith mysteriously dissappeared from both practice and the road playoff games.
