That must be why there will be maintenance, lol

They need to add the addition of the Panthers affiliations to our network. Makes sense.

I wouldn't mind heading down to Ft Lauderdale for a game in the winter... Sounds good to me!

They've already broke NHL records with this start...which is insane considering no camp, the amount of travel/condensed schedule...and Oduya has been a big part of it.

Just funny how some threatened to become FLA fans...or how big of an idiot Stan alledgely is...how bad this defense was supposed to be...

Sure, bring it up when we win the Cup. Still more than half a season to go.

Winning/not winning the cup doesn't make any bit of his signing worse or as bad as some tried making it out to be

Of course it does... if he takes a dump in the playoffs, what does it matter what he does now?

Setting an NHL record as a franchise means something

This group has proven to be tops in the NHL

So it does prove that they're not as pathetic as some assumed they would be

Much better than the great Dale Tallon moves in the shittiest division in the league. In sure they can use the fans if people still wanted to jump ship

Gloating about this record is akin to the Canucks gloating about the Presidents trophy.

It's nice, and I will enjoy it for now, but I can care less about this winning streak in the long haul. The only thing that we will talk about at the end of the year is who won the Cup. Now about Oduya, I am putting my foot in my mouth because he has been fantastic this year... but we will see what happens around playoff time. Can he be just as effective in the post-season? Still a question that he hasn't answered.

Records are an extremely big part of sports

The presidents trophy isn't the same as a 21gm unbeaten streak to start a season ...that's toppled the record by Some other very good teams - and they're one game away from matching MTL's 28gms with a point - 2nd in NHL history. That MTL team was loaded with HOF'ers. So yeah..it is something to be both excited, proud about as an organization. Way different than a presidents trophy. It's history

Hawks did what I wanted though in bringing in Brookbank and Roszival. Both guys who are not afraid to play the body.

Oduya hasn't played bad and him and Hammer have been a great 2nd pairing. Don't know if I still want to see him him for another 2 years after this season, but who knows.

In Dales defense he is working under entirely different circumstances in Florida than he was here. Different when you are trying to hit the cap floor and not stay within the ceiling. Not sure what GM out there can save Florida as it's been a mess for a decade now. THey havent drafted well and they seem to become a retirement home for some players and Im pretty sure not many players want to be playing serious hockey there. The problems are apparent when you have to sign a guy like Kovalev as a hail marry signing. Now the org wants to force him into retirement. What a gong show. Look at their roster and it's brutal. Look at their in the system list and it's not any better. That's a screwed up franchise that needs a couple big free agent signings that Dale isn't permitted to make.

I have always supported Oduya as a player. I was elated when the Stan traded for him even though that 2nd rounder seemed high at the time unknowing if he was going to resign here. Oduya is and always has been a steady blueliner. Ask the Jets how much they miss him. Again I never understood the Oduya bashing last year. Soon as he came on this team which was struggling to make the playoffs he improved one of the biggest problems. Plus he learnt the defensive game from one of the biggest defensive based systems the NHL has ever seen (the Devils). It really was a great pick up by Stan. The resigning money seemed a little high at the time I will admit. He has proven to be worth it and more.

Dale lets Horton, Booth, GCampbell, Grabner, Seindenberg, Wideman all go for pretty much nothing

He let Garrison go this offseason (who had a pretty good year for them last year)...then signed Kuba to near the same cap hit. Jovaniski to 4+ mil. Versteeg to 4.5mil..may have missed the window to get too dollar for Weiss when he moves him - because he doesn't want to be there at this point

Just saying...he made quite a bit shitty moves there and some wanted to jump the Hawks ship because they give Oduya 3.38 mil for only 3yrs
