They're ordered to go to commercial almost without regard to what's happening. CSN is more worried about making money than allowing a broadcast to be done right. They barely had a chance to show what Bollig did to Torres when they had to cut back to the game. And finally...ENOUGH WITH THE FUCKING SCROLL 8 minutes out of every period!! If you want to show a sponsor name...fine, show it, get it off of my screen, and let me watch the game on an un-compressed screen. I don't give a flying shit about the first inning score between the Dodgers and the Rockies.

At least NBC doesn't do the scroll and compress the screen. That trully is a pain in the ass. It jacks with my eyes and brain for a couple of seconds.

My favorite teams
 1. Portland Timbers
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
I Figured Saad would be in for Hossa. Talk about throwing the kid into the fryer.

Happemd to Craw against Detroit in 2009. Huet was stinking it up and Craw came in, looked stellar in spite of letting 1 goal past him on the bad side of a 5-3 PK. I think Shaw should be fine.

couldn't have been happier with Frolik last night though!

Agreed fully.

I was a bit upset at the end of the game when Q shortened the bench even further. They all looked gassed out there except frolik who hadn't played in forever really. I didn't see Olsen at all it seemed after the first. Bolig was more than limited even though he shows energy while in there. I know they are young and could have been more trouble than they were worth, but holy shit was everyone dragging ass, if you can at least throw them out there a shift of two to give the other guys more rest between shifts. They combined for just over 10 minutes last night. A fresh wing and a fresh D-man has to be better than a guy who is too tired to skate because he's been double shifting all game.

Olsen took a huge hit which is why you didn't see him much. Take one d and one forward and what do you have. Short bench.

That's a stretch considering that he's already been suspended....

You know what I mean... they are outwardly saying it was a dirty hit and worth a suspension. Don't really see players making comments on hits that didn't happen in the game they were playing.

God I hope we as the better team, maturity level and talent level overcome this bullshit and win the series. I would love to see a commerical showing my comment....right when they say maturity, and talent (showing the Hawks) will overcome egotistical, challenges (Bettman and the yots).

I wish I had something intelligent to say about any of this, but I don't, I'm just fucking frustrated with the bullshit way the NHL is run. ****, shit, ****! That was somewhat intelligent.

****. SHIT!

Thank you for listening.

I especially like those comments he stated about this rivalry and rivalries like it are exactly what the Coyotes need to stay in Glendale. They need to grab the highlights? Was that hit and aftermath of a player being carted off the ice on a fucking stretcher a fucking "Highlight". Is that how you want people to be talking about your team.

Dumb **** nothing is going to save your team. I feel sorry for the few true hockey fans in and around Glendale. Unfortunately, most being transplants are NOT Coyote fans, rather they are the fans of where ever they came from. The days of the NHL bleeding money into and out of your franchise are near an end Mohoney. Enjoy the cold weather where ever you land in the near future.

“Obviously an offense occurred,” said Maloney, “but it was not a situation where he took his stick and hit someone in the head. Probably two hundredths of a second it went from being a regular hit to being a little late hit"

This proves how those within the league just don't fucking get it. The stick is not the only weapon on the ice or on a player. A shot to the head is not a regular hit, it doesn't matter if the hit was fucking late or not. The outcry isn't because of a "late hit" it's about the leaping into the fucking air to target a guys fucking head.

this guys a complete idiot. He will have fun in Quebec.

Remember TCD the league doesn't really grasp it either. Last year they deemed Torres HEAD SHOT to Seabrook legal because the play was directly in the area behind the net. Clearly dropping the ball on a VERY similar hit as last night.

They aren't even sure what they are suspending. The GM's and Owners want their cake, but at the same token they'd like to eat it as well. Their franchise revenue comes off of some of the same star players that are making these dumb fucking plays. Duncan Keith included.

Doan, could have easly been suspended 10-20 games for his elbow. Keith as well could have been gone 10-20 games. Numerous others, and just what happens to those organizations when their players are banned for such a lengthy time? They draw revenue from having them on the ice playing.

It's a cluster **** and to top it off all the NHL Department of Player Safety does is compound the fucking issue with decisions like Shea Weber, clearly motivated by name, status and the Nashville Organization NEEDING to be successful in the playoffs. Similar to Pheonix and the officiating in ALL three games. No doubt the NHL continues to want them in Glendale. How else to support that but to give them a little push in success. Sorry but it's pretty apparent to me. It's not jst coincidence.

There is no integrity in "NHL" in any aspect IMO. At least at a league management level.

Yah its a giant cluster **** RK.

I was just wondering also where Stan has been though all of this. One side of me wishes he would say something public but then the other side feels it might be best right now if he kept his talks private. Just never hear from Stan on incidents like this that have occured when the Hawks are invloved. Never heard him say anything about the Keith/Sedin incident. I don't recall him saying anything to great extent over the Torres/Seabs incident and def haven't heard his views on this Hossa/Torres one.

I def don't want Stan turning into a Gillis type but I wouldn't mind a sound bite to know he is awake. But again it might be best to keep it btw himself the players and the coaches. Im sure he has or will have some things to say to them all.

Its awkward having such a silent GM (I know he's got a leash on him). Getting used to it but it's strange.

Toews does a great job representing the team in the public eye anyways. As does Joel to be honest. The org is def lucky to have those two. Stan is also.

I think most GM's with any type of class stay clear of situations like this. No one needs Mohoney out there "defending" Torres. Torres's record speaks for itself, in volumes. IMO all that does is make Mohoney look like a "Gillis".

I think Q's comments last night were spot on. They were also followed up by Toews very well I agree. I also like Seabrook's play at turning most of those controversial questions back to Q. This Organization may do a lot of things some of us more tenured fans really dislike, but what they do NOT need to do is run around like idiots just as to get some press. Which is what Mohoney is trying to do on a clearly sinking fucking boat.

The Canucks are an anomoly in this area, because face it, that's what they really do. They've been crying to the league since inception.

At the very end of Q's presser today someone asks the question (from the very back so it's hard to hear) about how the league guides and critiques it's officials. Because let's face it, and especially this year, the Officials have DIRECTLY led to some of the just horrible situations we've had. And most definitely not just where the Hawks are concerned. Clear examples of BLATANT POOR Officiating which is directly resulting in some of these players "losing their minds".

Examples of this are all over the place, especially recently.

1. Keith... If Sedin is called moments before for the clear hit to the head, I would bet Keith never retaliates.

2. Neil.... During the Pens/Flyers the other day the officials had TWO chances to remove Neil from the game. In doing so it would have prevented, or could have prevented the melee that insued. Did they, no, and the result, on national tv was more than pathetic.

3. Torres.... four officials were on the ice last night. One linesmen just feet away "cringing" at the hit. Did they do anything? Not a chance they turned a blind eye which in turn sent Bollig right after Torres the next shift.

At some point the officiating is going to have to be held accountable for their lack of efficiency or just clear blatant failure.

IMO this series has been controlled from the start. Conspiracy or not, there are just far to many examples of inconsistency. Things that are 99.99999 % of the time called. Too many for just the explination of "it's a fast game" to be clearly correct.

As I'd say an extremely dedicated fan it's taken me almost 24 hours to calm down from last night. I'm still hot when thinking of all the clear crap last night just allowed to happen. Hossa, while a big mistake, was really just the tip of the iceberg.

I certainly don't want to whine about officiating(lord knows I'm always extremely critical of it), because the Hawks still clearly could have over come, but God Damn. Do your fucking job. I know our PP sucks shit, but **** we could have EASLY has near 20 minutes in PP time last night. If the other team KNOWS they won't be called, our teams job is twice as difficult because they too must then completely change their game. A team built on speed/skill, is a team built to draw penalties in order for the other team to prevent it.

JT also discusses this last night after the game in his presser. It's 100% spot on IMO.
