Other than Les Habs what other HC openings need to be filled. I'm too lazy to look for myself, and don't recall any others.

I would think Columbus will be hiring a coach. Havi has a year left on his contract as well. Like the players, he's paid whether he's here or not.

I have to think that Detroit is going to pop up on his radar screen.

Babcock is not going anywhere and he has his two assistants. That would shock me.

Oilers or the Jackets would be my guess.

My dad once told me that the worst thing about all Chicago sports teams is the clueless brass.

Vindication for him.

Have to agree with this, at least from the hockey and football side in Chicago. I don't follow much of the other sports.

Was wondering aboo0t the Oilers myself. They have tons of young talent but haven't been able to do much with it.

That would surprise me, but also be the ultimate FU.

If you think about it then it really should not be a big surprise.

Look at the lineage and relationships of the current Detroit coaching staff. It might be a good fit unless he were to land a HC position somewhere else. As for a lateral move it makes alot of sense to me.

Anyone follow the O boards?

I wonder if Adam is deleting every other comment. Then again, many of the simpletons there may not get it.

I actually went over there yesterday. They agree with us for the most part. Lot of "McDickheads" floating around...

Can't remember the last time I went to the o-board. I've ventured there a few times since IHN started, mainly when IHN was down.

I seem to recall that the only think from stopping the Bulls from continuing to run roughshod over the leage at the end of the Jordan era was they refusal to re-sign Scottie pippen. I could be wrong though sin ce it's been years since I've followed basketball.

That and just look at the Cubs and White Sox. Didn't the Sox implode after they won it? Cubs; Quod erat demonsratum.

You'd have to ask a Section 8 member about the Fire, but I think most Chicagonians find soccer to be Communist and don't count it.

Either way I hope someone soon charges the 'hawks brass with running an NHL franchise while under the influence.

I always heard it was Phil Jackson's contract. The bulls didn't want to renew it, Jordan said "If he isn't the coach I aint playing" and then the rest of the team followed

I haven't been since IHN was created. But I am laughing at the idea of Adam deleting every other post because it's against the organ i zation

You're probably right. Either way it proves that a true dynastic team in Chicago was blown up by the Dilbertian ineptness of the brass.

Most Fire fans think the team legitimately tries. The worst was when Peter Wilt was fired, who was a very popular GM there. The tough thing with that league has been expansion, lack of even talent, and losing guys to Europe.

Sounds a little like the Bettman era.
