For some reason I recall a lot of back to back games in the 80's and early 90's. I might be making that up in my head though as I can't remember past 2 weeks ago.

I don't think back to backs are as bad as some fans think. Sometimes they work in a teams favor as much as against them. Longer time between games seems to be more detrimental. I don't like that the Hawks have 2 days off between games I would have liked a back to back instead.

Yeah, I don't get the waiting till Friday either. But I like the fact that you finally are coming to terms with Backstrom not carrying this team on his back...I don't like him and think he is over rated...he was great like 5 years ago.

So maybe I missed it in a different thread but I was just curious as to what people think about the possibility of having back to back games in the playoffs should it go to a game 6-7... to me that's fucking ridiculous.

6 pm CST game. I'll miss the 1st period, and some of the second. No way I'm missing her pitch after all the practice hours we've put in together. Her team and pitching is dominating the local league. They are undefeated and she is averaging @ 8-9 SO per game over 4-5 innings.

I just don't understand the reasoning behind it? Are they trying to line the schedule up for specific prime time dates or what? It's ridiculous to have back to back game 6-7 if needed meaning after a hard fought game they have to all travel and do it again. It makes game 7 a crap shoot.

Back in the 80's and maybe even into the early 90's the first round played the first 4 games in 5 days. Back to back games at home...travel day....back to back games on road
