Remember learning the ol' adage "Guilty by association"? Same principal applies.
I didn't associate with anyone. I stated that most of the 2004 WS winner was there before Theo got the job. Fact. Theo has never built a team this current way. Fact. There isn't a guarantee of success. Fact. Your buddy, Rory, stated this after my post...
Again, more stupendous analysis. More pieces were in place in Boston than in Chicago?? Gee...ya think?

Ironic/Typcial that one schlep downgrades Epstein because Hendry had an excellent farm system, then another schlep comes in and downgrades Epstein because Hendry didn't leave Epstein with the pieces that Epstein had in Boston.

Great stuff.
I didn't downgrade Theo. Fact. I stated that as a fan, I'll believe it when I see it. Fact.

Not entirely true. Look at the 2007 team and all the young players that came up that contributed to that. Theo has to build differently now anyways. New CBA. New owner, new budget etc. It's not going to be apples to apples.

Again, ignorant short sighted BS.

It's hysterical that fans who talk shit about Theo completely forget how instrumental his personnel decisions were to that '07 World Series team. Do Dustin Pedroia, Jonathan Papelbon and Jacoby Ellsbury ring a bell? Drafted by Theo. Josh Beckett? Traded for. Dice-K? Signed. I understand that Hendry had some great players during his tenure -- but NONE OF THEM CONTRIBUTED TO A WORLD SERIES. Theo won two. He drafted and acquired guys that contributed to both. That's important. It's something you can't ignore.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about him being instrumental in getting David Ortiz, Curt Schilling and Kevin Millar for the '04 World Series winners. But again -- THAT TEAM WAS NOTHING BUT HOLDOVERS FROM THE OLD REGIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theo is terrible.

Hmm, I can't remember Millar, Ortiz or Schilling contributing to that 2004 team.

Agreed. What he is trying to do is get the farm system built up and be able to have young talent, sign talent and trade for talent. Until then, some people are going to be more irritated than others. For me, it is frustrating, but I get that they have a plan and will patiently carry it out.

I didn't claim that either. You've named 3 players. The roster is considerably more sizeable.

Who the hell said that?

No one. But perhaps you'll figure out what it's like for others to try to converse with Sparrow and others deliberately misrepresenting posts.
