Soriano is a god because of what he has done over the past 2 weeks and 5-6 years ago, but Starlin Castro and Anthony Rizzo are shitty because they haven't completely replicated their success from 2012?

I think both of them will get back to that. Castro looks like he is starting to get back on track with his .300 batting average for this month.

The Albatross who isn't worth his contract and single handedly preventing the Cubs from being a competitive team??? Yep.

Out of curiosity, how many people on this site have said his contract is an albatross and is derailing the team?

Well, in 2009, 2010 and 2011; when the Cubs payroll went from 100M to nearly 150M and Soriano took up the largest hunk and sucked... Yeah, he was a bit of an albatross. Rather than trading 1 Alfonso Soriano, they traded D. Lee, dumped Zambrano and let Ramirez walk.

Everybody who has essentially said Hendry is responsible for the team's "state" (but ignores contributors he's responsible for and gives Theo all the credit).

Every Theo :fap: fan calls Sori an "albatross."

I call him the best player on this team

no doubt,, but he been making a big deal about what soriano has done the last 2 weeks and him being a so called albotross and all..

havent really seen anybody on here complain about soriano much at all, great he having a hot streak but the man is 37 YO.. if they can get something worthwhile in return for him then yes its time to trade him....

Chris Davis??? Nope.

Miggy??? Nope.

Anthony Rizzo??? Nope.

Starlin Castro??? Nope.

The Albatross who isn't worth his contract and single handedly preventing the Cubs from being a competitive team??? Yep.

Team Record since June 28??? 8-6.

Man he is really derailing this team.

He has earned his 10/5 right to veto a trade to any team he doesn't want to play for.

There are a lot of problems with this team and Soriano is near the bottom of the list despite all the whining and crying from the 'experts' around here.

Doesn't mean much. Better late then never though maybe we can get something for him now.

Pretty much. Hendry had a terrible farm system, yet that farm system was used to acquire Rizzo.

I don't think its as low as you think it was. All I'm saying is people bitched and moaned about Hendry's talent development, yet that piece of talent turned into a franchise cornerstone. You can debate if you think Rizzo is a cornerstone, I personally don't think he's going to win the Cubs a World Series as their best hitter.
