They have been grooming TT for wing though haven't they since he hit the farm?

I am asking not telling here because I am a semi self admitted don't give that big of a shit about the AHL hockey fan. I don't follow it enough to know facts. But someone told me once that is what they were doing with TT. So if they throw him back at center (which I know was his natural position when he played his hockey in Europe) wouldn't the Hawks be going against their grooming process? But on the other hand that shit happens all the time so no big whoooooop.

Honestly, I think that people have been expecting him to play on the wing just based on the fact that we have so many centers already, but I think the vision of the Hawks organization is to have him as the 2C with Kane and whomever else was a wing on that line. Teuvo and Kane would do magical things together.

Plus, Teuvo has played Center most of his career, especially over in Europe.

But then again, I don't know too much about the organization and only base my knowledge on stuff I've read and seen on the internet.

Teuvo has played center in Rockford, and throughout his career. He's a natural center.

Can someone please let me know who a few of these "so many centers" are that the Hawks have? Center has been and remains their weakest position of depth.

I don't think he's made it out of the showers from game 7 yet. He lost the soap in the corner and hasn't dug it out.

Actually wasn't Teuvo not at center at all previously to last year? When he was drafted and in that season still in SEL he was playing wing fully and they talked about asking for his transition to more center to get him playing it there before trying to have him play it here. He's been playing it 2 seasons.

This is true, they moved him over to center after his draft year. So technically he's been there for 2 seasons. Wouldn't surprise me to see him get a chance there, but center in the NHL is a very demanding position, probably the toughest of all 4 skater positions.

Good to know. I knew nothing about him before the draft year.

He seems to have great instincts and anticipation. I think he would be just fine at center. Made some really nice defensive plays today, and has been improving quite a bit. I often see him jumping down low to cover for Shaw, who seems to be out of position constantly. Should be the other way around, but Shaw is having a rough season.

McNeil
Danault
Schmaltz
Teuvo
Nordstrom

that's just in the system. Center depth went from our biggest weakness to our biggest prospective strength.

Any of those guys outside of TT project as a top six center at this time? ;)

That's the biggest need and has been since 2010. Richards is doing fine this year, but the playoffs are a long ways off, and it remains to be seen what he has left going forward.

I do remember watching Dino dickhead Ciceadickhead and he was one of the most hated players from a Hawks opponent ever. I don't remember Scooby Doo Johannson.

Bandwagon fan.

ETA: He used to play with Pez.

McNeil plays a good defensive center and Shmaltz has been promising thus far. We are in good shape down the middle in the next few years.

Don't believe McNeill has played center for a couple years now. Pretty sure he has been on Danault's wing.

Of that list, though, Sharp hasn't played center in about 5 years (I've read that's because he hates playing center), and Shaw/Smith just aren't that good at C. Better as wingers.

Sharp has come out in the media and said he wouldn't mind playing center, it's just Q refuses to do it for whatever reason.

When was this? Because I remember more of the opposite.

I could have sworn RK or someone else close to the team said he hated playing center a couple years ago?

Is TT a top six center at this time?

He's closer to being a top-6 center than Handzus was last season.

If you put him in between a pair of the Hawks top-6 wingers I don't think he's going to slow them down that much, if at all.
