Hopefully the Bears were paying attention yesterday in how to properly use a TE that can catch. Kittle went for 6 catches yesterday and 151 yards. He completely dominated the middle of the field and destroyed the Bears by getting downfield.

Why do the Bears make everything so difficult?

Fixing the issue isn't as plug and play as you think.

The Bears are absolutely stuck with Waldron's playbook, even if he isn't here any more. That's why the receiver route trees look so ass.

And you can't install a new offense in-season.

Best they can do (and already should have been doing) is editing the playbook and throwing out concepts that don't work.

Unfortunately, this also makes them one dimensional - see how many times DJ Moore is run on that shallow screen. Defenses sniff it out now.

Then add to that the bad offensive line prevents them from stretching the field, and the lack of hot routes in conjunction with that leads to Caleb getting sacked a LOT. Hot routes is one of the few things they could make changes to, and Brown WAS as the OC, but now he is interim HC, its obvious the "new OC" went back to Waldron's old concepts and no hot routes this past game.

I don’t really like him, nor do I dislike him. I think he’s largely been overrated by most bears fans since the day he was drafted and all it took was Caleb Williams being underwhelming for people to finally see it, but then again you guys have turned on essentially every single player, coach and executive in the name of Caleb.

I’ve always said Kmet is like Heath Miller, which is completely fine as a starting TE but nothing to be pumped up about. But saying he’s a TE2 or worse TE3 is pretty laughable. You can’t even provide a single example to defend your own argument.
