The Bulls have Mirotic's draft rights. He is coming to the Bulls if he ever decides to play in the NBA for a given salary. He is completely irrelevant to this conversation.

The Bulls have to buy him out and pay him. That requires money!
Asik and Gibson frees up money!
Yeah for Mirotic. An actual good Euro player.
The Bulls' organization has money. If they really wanted to do that, they could easily do it tomorrow and keep Gibson and Asik. That is a non-issue. They are just going to wait until his Euro-league contract runs out anyway.
So they are even dumber than I thought!
They could bring him over under the lt if they let these other losers walk!
Mi ro tic!
The Bulls already have two power forwards on their roster who are better than Mirotic right now.
Bringing him over right now would be a waste of money. They are better off waiting until either Gibson or Boozer are gone before they let him start his rookie contract.

It's useless because it means shit.Okay so we have established that PER36 is a useless because the troll FirstTimer claims it is.
Are you fucking Special person?
TalentWhat would Mirotic bring to this team right now?
It's useless because it means shit.
it's a per minute stat.
Big fucking whoop.
I Asik was good enough to play big minutes I might care...then again I'd just look at his per game at that point........But he can't play big minutes because he's a shitty center.
Sounds ***.Asik has value because he can go out there for about 15-20 minutes per-game and back-up the 5 position for any NBA team.
Sounds ***.
Unimpressed.
The point is that it is better to trade Gibson and Asik for a player on a team's active roster (and add depth) and/or draft pick (to gain leverage) than it would be to let them walk for nothing and thereby forcing the team to select players out of the minimum free-agent pool.
If you were a fan of a team with no-to-little shot-blocking and shitty rebounding, you would want Asik or a player like him to fill in some minutes.
Odd, I figured when Asik and Gibson left there would be other free agents who other teams are also letting walk available.
But apparently in your warped basketball "mind"(if one can even call it that) when Asik and Gibson walk the Bulls will only have minimum players to choose from like Pryz while the rest of the NBA can choose other players.
Good work.
Wow. Really impressive!
But what player wouldn't want to play with Rose, Deng and The Mirotic. The quality free agents generally get scooped up by team's who aren't over the salary cap.
Too bad Asik doesn't.At the NBA level, it is. You can be a terrible offensive player in the NBA and still have value.
Addition by subtraction.Letting players become free-agents walk away for nothing does zero good.
