Someone should've asked how concerned he was about the Bears falling to the 10th pick in the draft cause they decided not to throw the last game... and how he plans to overcome that.

I will again point to the press conference.

Ben kept talking about how the organization is going to be working with him rather than him being a cog in the organization.

This is something very different than what the Bears have done in the past.

Ben Johnson has full control of the football operation if the press conference is any indication, regardless of what's said publicly.

And I think you're exactly right, Poles is going to be shopping for the groceries Ben wants and I wouldn't be surprised then ultimately ends up with final say privately over personnel decisions.
It really isnt. Every GM since Pace and Nagy had pretty much given the voach what they wanted.

I don’t think Poles seat is hot at all. He just got the coach everyone was drooling over for three years. He will have some more runway now if I am reading the tea leaves correctly.
I more meant that he knows this is his last coach unless the Bears succeed. He ain't getting a crack at a third coach 2-3 years from now. So he knows he'd better do everything he can to fast-track his 40-Year Success Plan so the Bears are actually good sooner rather than later.

There's no more long-term for him.

Was always wishful thinking by Bears fans.

People seem to forget how much some folks at CCS loved the HITS principle initially.

"That's exactly what this team needs! MOAR GRIT!!"
Nope most CCS were saying the Eberflus was blah. People here complaining about the SHIT principle as the talk of a conman. Eberflus was such an uninspiring pick. Most people were hesitant and pessimistic about him.

I disagree, except the owners Poles is the longest tenured person on the bears and has oversaw four losing seasons. If the season doesn’t start off well, expect that seat to get hot

It will get hot with the fans but you have been around long enough to know George doesn’t think like us.
