Yea, I'm not saying Poles was... it's a guess on my part, but the level of detail that Ben brings leads me to believe that he will be very invested in the scouting required to make good decisions and he's bringing that extra piece to the table. I'm sure Flus was a hard worker in his own right, but Ben's attention to detail is high level by all accounts, so I just trust him more in that role.I don't think Poles will be or even has been against giving his HC a big voice in any of the personnel decisions. I think he listened to Flus a lot and Flus had a big voice in some of the decisions like T.Edmunds because he was almost the same type of LB as Shaq Leonard was for Flus in Indy, a taller more lengthy type of LB.
Someone asked George what he thought about a part owner of the Raiders calling the Detroit game and George said he didn't care because whenever Joe Buck is talking he turns the volume down. Shots fired from Georgie.
Unfortunately, here’s the first red flag. He lied right to George’s face (virtually). Everyone knows he wanted the Raiders job and the world was shocked to find out he didn’t.
I wonder the context here. Is he saying based on something he hear in the presser? Or is this based on other rumors flying around?
Nope most CCS were saying the Eberflus was blah. People here complaining about the SHIT principle as the talk of a conman. Eberflus was such an uninspiring pick. Most people were hesitant and pessimistic about him.
“Largest NFL Franchise?”George: “Ryan told me that’s the guy we want and I told him go get him”. Boss owner finally unlocked he realizes he is a billionaire who owns the largest NFL franchise finally.
There were a couple of things that need to be taken note of...
First - He didn't have any notes or paper to read his opening statement. His thoughts were very articulate, clear and concise with meaning.
Second - Every one of his answers to questions were purposeful and accurately to the point with no hesitation
Indicates is he has a high IQ and gets his thinking across at a high level. Can't fake that...A very understandable and good trait to have when coaching/teaching.
Also he seems very personable and relates actions to adapt with the situation. Hopefully this translates to the a team function and gets this thing turned around.
Pretty impressed so far
“Largest NFL Franchise?”
I’m confused by this statement
Ok so largest media market not Largest NFL franchiseLargest media market (split NY and LA in half).

There's always one who has to relieve himself in the community CheeriosSome of you guys are still being fooled by the press conferences.
Nothing Ben Johnson said here will have any bearing on whether he'll be a good head coach.
He could be the most articulate, coolest sounding dude ever and still come out and not be able to helm an entire team.
He could be nervous and a little fidgety and end up being great.
Introductory press conferences give no insight. They're literally ALL projection.
