Compares the same to me. Zero playoff wins for both GMs. Oh right. You're a Lions fan. Playoff wins are never in sight.

Lord knows that I would never want to defend Beta Female, HOWEVER, I'm sure you can find national writers thinking the Browns have had great offseasons. Recency bias aside, Pace should be judged on his entire body of work.

I think that's what people without vision say .... surely Pace's below average picks and signings early can be debated to a point. However, he is the youngest GM, surely growth is expected. His RECENT 'moves' sure have a lot to do with his evaluation.

Coupled with the Bears giving Pace full reign as far as his HC, Pace has shown the ability to manipulate the draft to get 'his guy'. If nothing else, he should be respected for putting his sack on the table with all the FA signings this off season.

Personally, I think Pace has done a great job, I think Nagy & Helfritch are going to introduce Chicago & the NFL what an Offense is supposed to be like. And, I can't wait to see the GodFather of Defense plug in his new toys as well as healthy players.

Have you ever sat down and thought about why Pace wasn’t fired? If Fox really was his decision wouldn’t you think that Pace would’ve had a hotter seat, instead of getting an extension?

Maybe those above him made the decision to hire fox, and that is why he is getting a chance with the extension.

Is this scenario supposed to make the doubters amongst us here within the chicitysports.com forii (pl: forum) feel - as so many are requesting - "positive" about the bunch of bums currently calling themselves Chicago Bears now that the Foxster has been shown the door?

What about Kevin White? Leonard Floyd? 14 and - for Halas's sake - 34 ? . . .

. . . Either Ryan "Snails" Pace hired John Fox or "Uncle" Ernie Accorsi did, via proxy. Either way, what a waste of three years that no one associated with this disaster deserves a pass on until they show results . . .

. . . Another question, friend - SugarWalls?!? . . .

If this douchbag post by you is singular, would all your post's be douchii (pl: multiple douchbag posts)?

A bunch of morons on here that don't understand how a rebuild works. The Pace haters can only bring up his record but when you tear a old team down and start a complete rebuild losing is what comes with that and it's hilarious that many don't seem to understand that. R.Pace has done a great job with this rebuild and did it the right way. He didn't get impatient and try to make bad moves or sign high priced free agents to rich contracts that they weren't worth to try to speed up the rebuild. He stayed patient with it and got the QB he wanted when he had the chance to get him. I can't believe so many people still can't see how good of a job he has done. I've been saying that i still see one more off season to complete the rebuild which will most likely be mostly focused on getting at least one legit OLB to play opposite L.Floyd and depending on what Floyd does this season he might even have to get two. We have plenty of talent now so now our coaches need to do their job and get this team playing winning football. I could see it taking next season for all of these new players to learn how to play with each other and learn the system and Trubs is still very green so next season is big for him to learn the new system and his new receivers.

what pace haters? who are you talking about?

You're response is for me to say something?

No response required ...

Your response to the shoopster's football post was a personal insult, yet you say you wanna talk football.

Here's football, fella: Snails is 14-and-34 and - "this is taking" - in the words of none other than "King" George McCaskey himself - "a lot longer than any of us thought it would" . . .

Yu wanna be a tough guy on a Bears message board, Bear"Pride", you'd better have right on your side . . .

I answered the question at hand, others wanted to drag the Lions into the discussion. I said, Pace stumbled out of the gate. Said he still could recover. So, essentially we are in agreement. Yes, historically the Lions are a joke of a franchise. No argument there. Recently, the Bears have taken that spot from the Lions. Recent history is all that matters to me, not what happened 35 years ago. Recent history isn't cherry picking, sorry.

(and yet we have another Bears Poster asking me a Lions question........)
Question asked...……………….question answered. Yes we pretty much are in agreement on Pace.

A Lions fan on a Bears board you don't expect to be asked Lions questions????? I for one like to hear fans of other teams opinions on my team and theirs.

That sure is a waxy shine on those thoughts.

I just cannot get on board with this "Fox was not Pace's coach" crazy nonsense. Ryan Pace hired John Fox because he believed he was the right coach to hire. Why are we putting some absurd X-Files narrative behind it?!?

"Manipulating the draft to get his guy" is a lovely way to say he will get around to this whole building through the draft thing when he is done throwing picks all over the league to just get his team out of the Division Cellar.

Did he put his sack on the table in Free Agency or just panicked when throwing all those picks away was not working? So now it's time to try throwing sixty million dollars around until someone remembers how to catch a damn ball.

Strangely enough...I think the Lions Fan put it the best. Ryan Pace stumbled hard out of the gate. The hope is he has found his footing and we can go back to enjoying a Bear game again, but until that happens...he is more Boy Blunder than Boy Wonder.

I think Pace bent the knee to Lord Mcasky at the time in a long game plan to eventually get what and who he wanted. Think GOT damnit!

Point stands. Don't obfuscate. Pace needed to agree to Fox. Pace was an unknown and needed to show humility. That no longer applies.
