Let's see..... Ryan Poles is an offensive line evaluation specialist and has likely determined that Jenkins belongs back at the position he primarily played all throughout college. And you want to go back to Ryan Pace's evaluation that he can play left tackle?
The second Poles was hired that experiment was over. Probably no one else in the league evaluated Jenkins as a LT. I bet Poles would not have cut Leno either.
If you think 7th rounder Leno is good you have no place in any oline conversation.
Watching him on WA he's better at not tackling his own QB or pushing the defense into his own QB but the reason he did those things on the Bears are still there. He backs up, pushes, backs up, pushes. He chases after, he pushes. Eventually WA's opponents will figure him out and he'll be back to doing the same thing he did here. Especially now that he's not playing for a contract, which if I remember right was when he really slacked off here.
Watch the all NFL tackle highlights, when those guys push you know it because the defender goes down. Then there's GB, their oline is locked on and in full control of the defender.
Judging from what Poles has said he wants one of those all NFL highlight guys not Leno managing and definitely not Leno backing up in to his own QB. Nothing from what Poles has said should make you think Leno was someone he would've kept.
I'm thinking he's talking about 1st round and possibly top 10 quality, not 7th rounders.
