The Bears aren't moving anywhere only the meatballs would even entertain thats nonsense .

This is all apart of a dynamic to get Soldier Field renovated . The city is 100% getting a Casino and the city leaders along with the Bears are gonna use that and possible fear of a move to get approval to build a giant stadium complex with Casino and sports book over in the McCormick area.
Why does it matter if they get a nice stadium in Arlington heights? If Chicago fucks up and won't do it, then they are better off moving...

A beer hasn’t been $10 at Soldier Field for a Bears games in a long time
Thanks for helping me make my point but I looked it up and it was listed as $10.5 at a few sites.

For a lot of good reasons the Bears should (somehow) get a new stadium. And, for a lot of bad reasons, they won't get a new stadium. The present Soldier Field is no where near the quality venue as most of the other NFL venues. Its a perfect storm of the incompetency of the city government and the stupidity of the Bears' ownership.

Guys I'm a little disappointed we haven't gotten any comments about how they wouldn't be able to be called the Chicago Bears anymore
Why wouldn't they?

It's still Chicagoland
This and the only issue I can foresee is that it's still Cook county and the City has a lot of sway if they want to play dirty.

Sorry, beers were $12.00 the last game I attended and mixed drinks, well they are very expensive. I long for the days of $10 beers.

It’s a great stadium except for the price of concessions. I love going to Soldier Field for Bears games. No complaints on my part.

Ya, I'm sure it's fine but the lack of seating, gaining ownership and concessions make a move the right direction for the Bears future.

Tell us about how it was only a nickle when you were a kid.
It was a nickel when he was a kid and the very next day a beer was a dollar.

We are talking about the day before prohibition was enacted, of course.

I'd move to Florida if it wasn't for the humidity. And the fact that I'm not licensed to practice in that state.
Not sure your profession but FLA is very exclusionary and doesn't welcome late career or retiree keeping busy types. As an example, for optometry, you have to have passed national boards within the last 5 yrs to get your original license. Those boards are given after 2nd yr and include physics, histology, and a host of things you never use and are only 50% pass rate when it is fresh in your mind.

No way they move to Arlington Heights. Too much money to be made downtown at the bars and such. Like someone else said, this is all a ploy to get the stadium renovated. And by renovated, I mean torn the fuck down and started over. They need a retractable roof and 80 to 90K seats to host the superbowl.

I'm an attorney, not that old. Mid 30's. But I'm not really considering moving to Florida, it's way too much trouble to move and take the bar again. I like the way Florida is governed though and I'd like to live there.
