We also can't assume though that Liriano would've taken 3/39 from the Cubs. He's improved a lot in Pittsburgh and has good reason to be comfortable there.

Dodgers traded Gordon.

The deal is Gordon and Haren to the Marlins in exchange for Heaney, second baseman Enrique Hernandez, righty Chris Hatcher and catcher Austin Barnes, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

I don't really get these moves. Rollins is 35. Not exactly a long term solution.

Wonder if Haren is going to retire, considering he said not to long ago he has no plans of leaving Los Angeles to play for another team.

Sounds like the Dodgers want prospects to take a run at Hamels or another SP.

The Diamondbacks and Red Sox have agreed in principle to a trade that will send left-hander Wade Miley to Boston in exchange for Rubby De La Rosa, Allen Webster and another minor leaguer, FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi report (via Twitter).

Interesting.

So the reason the Marlins pretty much got hosed was because money was sent back. Essentially they sold their top prospects to the Dodgers, which sounds exactly like something they would do

Dee was running out a .315 OBA. Not really strong lead off suff. His SB over glared the fact he was a out almost 7 out of 10 times up.

Looks as if the Dodgers are close to signing Brandon McCarthy, so you can take him off od the list. The money is going to get stupid, so I hope the Cubs take a chance at Anderson or Masterson on short deals before this all comes to a close unless they can swing one with a trade.

Shields and Scherzer have to be liking this.

And now the Dodgers traded Andrew Heaney for Howie Kendrick.

Working from home with sick child here. Watching MLB Network nonstop.

Marlins working on a trade for Matt Latos.

Tigers reportedly working on a deal with Cincy to fill the spot left open by Porcello trade - not Latos.

So Cincy MAY be close to trading two starters.

Tigers currently have six starters, per Dave Dombrowski, now that they added Alfredo Simon from Reds.

Need someone to take David Price off your hands? (CHEAP) :)

Masterson to Beantown.

I would have been OK taking a look at him, even though I couldn't wait to face him last year when he stunk for the cards. But if true it due to injured knee, it may work out for Sox.

I wouldn't have wanted any more than a one yer prove it type deal if Cubs went after him though.

Peavy off the board. 2 years/$24 million from the Giants, full no trade clause. Good luck with that.
