Jonathan Toews had best-selling NHL jersey in 2015
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...st-selling-nhl-jerseys-in-2015-163931312.html

The NHL released its list of the best-selling jerseys from its online store for 2015, and it’s a handy reminder that outdoor games move product and the Chicago Blackhawks are crazy popular.

Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews topped the list for the first time, no doubt fueled by jersey sales from the team’s appearance in the Winter Classic as well as their Stanley Cup championship victory. He was third last season.

Patrick Kane, who led the NHL in jersey sales last season, was No. 2.

the top 10 best selling jerseys for 2015:

1. Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks

2. Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks

3. Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers

4. Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals

5. Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins

6. Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins

7. Zach Parise, Minnesota Wild

8. Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens

9. Ryan McDonagh, New York Rangers

10. Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers

The allegation really dragged Kane's name down through the muck, lost his #1 spot.

The Drouin situation has gone full, just he wants out. He is refusing to play in the AHL games to avoid risk of injury in hoping a trade is done quickly to get him out of there.

McKenzie: #TBLightning "is under no obligation to trade (Drouin). Entry level players in the National Hockey League have zero rights."

To review: TBL has suspended Drouin indefinitely, and Drouin says he's totally done with TBL. No guarantee of a quick resolution here.

No doubt. Something bad must have happened behind the scenes.

Yeah, it's called an asshat for an agent.

As it stands today, Druid won't be eligible to become a UFA until 2022. Way to go all in with a pair of 3's numbskull. :lmao:

Ahhhhhh, Emperor Penguin. :smug2:

Sadly, they already have one...kinda.

Edit: Upon reflection, they have more of an Empress. :cutecat:

Wideman gets 20 for cross-checking the linesman.

Nowhere near as funny as The Hawks very own Tom Lysiak getting 20 for tripping linesman AJ Foyt back in 1983. :lmao:

I am a bit torn on the amount of games here. I think the reason I'm torn is that I really don't feel like Wideman was in the right frame of mind due to taking a hit that messed with his head just moments before. Good chance that maybe he didn't exactly know what he was doing or who he was hitting at that moment. At the end of the day though, it was a vicious hit and it had to be dealt with.

It could lead to an interesting precedent, but the way the discipline and brain concerns of the league have gone in the last years it likely wont be.

Basically as it is now the league agrees he was probably concussed at the time and the doctors after the game say he was then... and that despite that he is punished on a grading of having the intent to hit/injury the ref.

And if he has a concussion (likely he does) he will probably be out a bunch of games anyways.
