Kyle Orton, Jon Quinn, Craig Krenzel, Cade Mcnown, Henry Burris, Shane Matthews, Steve Stentstrom.. I'm 25 and I remember all those guys..

My reaction before Cutler, every flippin season.

The bolded were not game managers, they were flat out bad...Orton may not have been the best QB but he was a game manager. Again, I prefer us not to have a game manager QB, but if the Bears let Cutler walk I can be ok with a game manager until we find the next franchise QB.

My reaction after every dumb mistake Cutler makes

If it wasn`t for Knox, Jay would never throw a pick.

Wow, what a jump, just like your other comment about us thinking Bennett is awesome or something. Prior to last year, who did Cutler look for on third and 10?

Too much can happen. Depends how Cutler performs, if they can get a deal done, who is available via trade, FA, draft, where the Bears are drafting, etc etc etc etc etc.

I think saying that in July of 2013 that "no matter what happens" the Bears need to keep Cutler around for 2014 and possibly beyond is football stupid.

True. But I think if you add the caveats of Cutler performing at least at the level he has established over the last 3 years, and the contract is reasonable, than I think you can say the Bears pretty much have to pull the trigger - even if the coaches have committed to finding a replacement asap.

Not if he can't be more efficient with the ball.

If he has another year with throwing almost as many picks as he does TD's, I say cut him loose and draft a QB

Yeah, if Cutler shows significant regression, then all bets are off and the Bears are probably pretty fucked for at least a few years.

Article writer is another idiot who thinks you can only find QBs in the top 5 overall picks.

Yep the Bengals seem to be doing fine with Dalton. And that was after Palmer fiasco

Stupid. Too bad Emery stated Jay's a franchise qb, he might back off of it publically due to the dumb fans and media that will cloud down the throat and be a distraction; make no mistake that Phil will be signing Jay long term.

Wait. Are you insinuating its easy or common to find franchise QBs outside of the top half of the first round?

When you go to a casino, do you walk in and put all your money on a single roulette number?

Cause just because something is possible does not mean its probable. Nor does mere possibility make an intelligent bet.

5 out of 32 teams started their new QBs last year and all did super. Where is the casino that gives these awesome odds and how the fuck do they stay in business?

No surprise to see the fanboys saying Bennett is better than Knox. After all, Knox was their number 1 excuse for cutlers shitness.

Yeah it does, hell we shouldn't even sweat it and draft a QB till the 3rd since it worked with Wilson.

I don't know how a Bears fan can give this unconditional support for a QB who just keeps bending over and taking it up the ass from the Packers. Enough is enough already. It's fucking embarrassing.

No, it's not "easy". But again, you HAVE TO TRY.

Are you honestly suggesting that the Bears should make Cutler qb for life until they have a top 5 pick? Are you saying they should never ever draft a qb after 5 overall? Really?

It will depend on how he performs and what Trestman thinks. Anyone here that thinks they know more about a QB than Trestman is an egotistical idiot.

As for the article. That's like saying someone is untradeable. Stupid supposition. It all depends on what you get in return or what you pay. I'm all for continuing to draft a QB almost every year when other needs aren't clrearly more pressing. Our Oline and LB cupboard was bare this year.

Anyone with even mediocre knowledge of the wide receiver position knows that Bennett was better than Knox.
