Bucky irving is a perfect reason why you dont draft a rb in the first round, at least not high.
Bingo. Add guys like Chase Brown, Chuba Hubbard, and Tyrone Tracy Jr. to that list as well. No point in spending a premium pick on a back right now when your trenches are a mess.

No. I proved my point and you moving the goal posts is not something I want to engage in.
Also, you are dumb. I'm gonna block all dumb mother fukers in 2025 and you are the first one! So congrats ya colossal buffoon.

I like Jeanty but I just believe that the Bears going

1) OT or DE
2) DT or OG
2) OMARION HAMPTON or KALEB JOHNSON

GIves the Bears better overall value than taking

1)JEANTY
2)DT/DE
2)OG

I definitely believe that the first option much better for a franchise that really needs a starting caliber LEFT TACKLE or dominant DE or DT.

Hampton would be a fine dual threat fit and Kaleb Johnson is reallt going to inflict some pain on defenders. I would love to get Kaleb Johnson on the Bears.

Yep

2024 bears were bad because 2018 bears had Montgomery and 2024 bears didnt

All those team had top 10-ish picks the last 2 years......but sure; they missed those rb this year when they're all gonna have....top 10-ish picks

Meatball bears fans deserve this type of organization

I completely get it. I was hoping the Bears would’ve taken Fashanu over Rome. But there isn’t a Joe Alt this year. The top 2 OL will almost certainly kick inside. Josh Simmons is there, and he may be the only pure LT worth a first. And he’s coming off injury.

Put Jeanty aside for a moment. The DL needs work also. If Carter and Graham are gone, I’d rather they take the best DL or DE rather than a G.

Even then, if they do take one of Banks or Campbell, I would understand the strategy, especially if they turn out to be a top-flight G.
I REALLY hope that the Bears can trade back and get Josh Simmons. Simmons is that guy.

It would be sweet to get Simmons, an extra pick(s) and Kaleb Johnson with one of the second rounders.

Johnson is going to hurt defenders on his way to top end production.

I could completely get behind that plan. But given the lack of elite talent at the top, probably not a draft where a lot of trades take place.

If they’re do think Simmons is that guy at LT, I could see them just taking him at 9.

I hope they take Carter over him if he drops that far, which he probably won’t.

Chase Brown played extremely well this year. The guy barely left the field after Moss was injured.

Chuba had a great year.

No they didn’t. But they bearly lost to Oregon that fooled fans and observers. This playoff is new and needs to be developed more. But Boise State deserved to be in playoffs.

People were crying about Alabama not being in. Thank God the Wolverines shut their mouth.
So you want to play the “hey they only lost one game” card when it comes to including them in the playoffs, but when Jeantty has to put the f up they aren’t very good. Got it. Boise state lovers coast to coast crack me up. 8-4 in the big ten

You fix the OL and swift is good enough.

The lions legit have guys i've never heard of running for 5 yards a carry last night.
yeah, but the lions didn't put that OL together in one offseason, only the bears fan base has that silly notion in it's head

It depends there are few QBs in the top half of round 1. The 2024 draft had a higher than normal number of QBs.

Sure, this draft is lacking QB talent in contrast to 2024, but is still a better representation of the norm.

If one of the top QBs is still floating around on the board when the Bears pick there will be a chance to move back.

I don't know where Simmons is in his rehab but if he's able to participate in the combine and or pro day than I'd be more than content with taking him at #9.

I'm with your camp that wants an OT or DE at 9 then a HB like Kaleb Johnson with one of our second rounders.

Kaleb Johnson is my favorite HB in this class and his value outside of round 1 would be a good pickup for the Bears. Johnson cab flat.out truck defenders and outrun them. Plus he can steadily catch the ball out of the backfield if needed.

I was kind-of hoping that Boise would finally win a big game against a power conference franchise.

The Boise Bed Shitters and Oregon might be even worse after today's game. At least Boise put up a fight, Oregon showed up just to roll over.

I think the Bears should draft Tyler Warren, so Caleb can have another elite TE not to throw to.

They have to draft in the OL this year or its negligence.

I haven’t watched all these guys yet but if RB is as deep this year as they say it is a good one will be available in the 2nd or better yet the 3rd. Definitely don’t want one in round 1.

I think the last team to win the SB with a 1,000 yard rusher was the Patriots in 2016. Not saying a good running game isnt important. But you may not need that top tier one is all.

You only do something like this if your O/D line targets are not there in the first round.
You only do this if your offensive and defensive lines are stacked with all pros.

No matter how many holes the Bears have on the roster, and no matter who they already have at running back, good, great, or poor, bears fans discuss drafting running backs in the draft.
