I don’t expect many coaches have started14-27 and still had their job. But he‘s a nice guy……..

Going back to Waldron and his personnel usage issues. How the **** is Kmet only targeted once in a game like this? Now, maybe some of it was OL breakdowns or Caleb just missing him, certainly plausible. But even with that, I still say how the **** is Kmet only given 1 target when he has shown to be one of your best weapons the past couple of years.

I mean Caleb had 4 completions until late in the 3rd.

Blame the refs for the Bears 'rushing' 3 guys, spying with a 4th and giving up 76 yds in 19 seconds vs a hurt QB. Don't blame the loser head coach and his terrible OC!

Stop w/ this legend of Jayden Daniels bullshit he threw up a prayer and the Bears fucked up and handed him a gift. Considering they think he's a God the Bears stopped him from a TD all night. Caleb started out like ass but he drove them down the field when it counted and got the team ahead, he had to learn to adjust to step up into 72's position once 72 collapsed and got roasted every play, think I'm bullshitting watch him. I was impressed with Caleb, yes the start was slow, the Oline needs an enema and we need a small super quick wr to bail him out like a Hunter Renfro type

Why not rush at least 5 on that last play? He can't rush for a TD if he gets free. Why not be gutsy and force the issue and not leave it up to a roll of the dice?

Cause Flus doesn't have that much guts. Maybe it's hindsight thinking but we've seen this over the last few years when you give the QB that much time. Why give him that much time? Why not rush more than 4?

Brutal loss.

The defense was phenomenal, and a banged up defense.
Redskins leading the NFL with 31 ppg had 12 until the very lucky play. The Bears are so fortunate to have a defense like that to keep is in a game where the offense is middle school level.

Complaining about Everflus is just silly. Maybe he and Poles made a poor decision with the OC, and I'm not anywhere near certain of that either.
Defense still gave up almost 500yds of offense though. Red zone defense is highly volatile year to year so you can’t count in the defense only giving up 18pts when they give up 485 yds

I'd say they are a model of consistency. What is that, now 13 or 14 straight games not giving up 21. They were shaky early on, but dug in ever so tough, and MADE ADJUSTMENTS, holding the highest scoring team in the league, at home, to 12 before the hail mary.

Caleb can't carry the team and Ebflus & Waldron lose their minds in key situations.

Caleb air mailing a zero yard pass to Keenan Allen was absurd. If he didn't have the rep, he'd have been called for multiple grounding penalties. He had no pocket presence and was CLEARLY outplayed by Daniels.

I don't know what exactly happened, perhaps Jaylon Johnson wanted to play hero ball and snag an INT with 5 seconds left, but the Bears defense simply allowed the Redskins to get into hail mary range. What on earth was that?

The goal line call at the end I assume was on Waldron, but regardless it was a joke. As was the 1st and goal pass attempt by Williams. Why is this so difficult?

What I just bolded and underlined is some grade A premium meatball bullshit.

Its idiocy.

Yes, Williams had a bad game. Hindered by bad coaching and a bad line.

But with the game ON THE LINE, he got the team down the field for the go ahead TD. PERIOD.

If you can't tell the difference between Williams and our past QBs, and just want to puke up bullshit, that's fucking stupid.

This was a loss on the coaches. Plain and simple.

I’m sick of hearing “but Flus calls a good defense”, as an excuse for not firing him. He’s the damn HC, not the DC. He’s been in over his head as HC from day 1, and it’s painfully obvious to anyone who is being objective.

Get through the season, fire Flus, and give Ben Johnson what he wants.
Yes this please. I honestly hope they go 1-9 the rest of the way just to ensure this happens.

And I am tired of hearing Fire Flus for everything and anything including every penalty, every non scoring drive, anything and everything that goes wrong on any play. He was dealt a hand of eliminate every good player, and then you guys blame him for the record during the breakdown.

It is brutal on here as a result.

Good posters like yourself too.

In my mind, if you guys hate Flus so much, why does Poles get a pass. He is in charge of EVERYTHING.

Some of us have been consistent in saying he should've been fired for bringing Flus back in the first place. I think he sucks at evaluating OL and WR. I hate that he gives away late round draft picks for guys who he could've gotten on the waiver wire or cut list. Seems like a good dude but I don't care for his GM-ing given the consistent issues (interior OL) that haven't been fixed in 2+ seasons.

I agree with the interior line part. Maybe it's my imagination, but I feel like 5th round picks are constantly traded for somebody that isn't really wanted and pray that he might be the answer.

As far as the 1st part, I am sold on Everflus, wasn't thrilled with hiring him (although he was defense). But when I see a team play as hard as this Bears team , I think he's the reason.

I understood the tear down in year 1. It was the right move, and the necessary move, to start purging the roster of bloated contracts and players.

I don’t blame Flus for that. I personally do not think he is HC material. And I believe there are more than enough instances in games that justify that belief.

Poles is not blame-free either. But I like (for the most part) what he has done with the roster and the direction it is headed, EXCEPT his inability to solidly the OL. If that isn’t addressed, then my opinion on him staying will likely change.

Flus just can’t get it done against good teams most of the time. I think he has always been in over his head, and needs to go. Just my opinion.

Bears have to get Johnson before Dallas does.

I guess I’ll just go back to reading my favorite book and drinking my new favorite beer, Corona Premier
