Holtz is also the best blocking tight end they have on the roster right now so I think he hangs on.
I’m not sure that’s true now, though it may have been true in the past, now that we have the outlaw Jesse James.

Though they line him up in the backfield, he was never a good lead blocker.

It also means we have good depth, having the bottom of your draft not being relied upon to be contributors right away is a good thing. Some will make it to the practice squad.
Are you serious?

We have good depth?

Has Desmond Trufant played at all in pre-season? I can't remember hearing anything about him. Surprised he hasn't been cut.

We'll revisit in 3 weeks.
Think about it a bit. Are there positions where they are weak? Yes. But this is true for every team.

But we are pretty deep here:
safety
linebacker
dline
running back
quarterback
wide receiver - very weak after this year though need to sign AROB!

Not so strong:
Oline
Cornerback

The whole thing is gold...

"What the hell is an aluminum falcon?"
"Padamame or Panda bear, or whatever the hell her name is."
"(whispers) I love you too"

Genius.

Disagree on Newsome. He was injured so he didn't get much PT but he made a really nice play last pre-season game that shows the kind of athletic ability he possesses. I have hopes for Newsome.
He's a guy they know they can sneak through waivers.
