I do not think they will trade Bennett.

I think they are just not going to be pushed into a new contract.

Bennett and Forte will eventually report.

What part of obvious rebuild hasn't sunk in yet?

Bennett is trying to leverage the Bears because there's no decent replacement behind him and there's no talent in the draft. Bears don 't have the cap space so they'll off load him via trade rather than set a precedent of letting guys sit out for more money. Cutler's deal fucked it up for everyone.

No one believes me that this is a 5 yr plan

People losing their minds over this is just hilarious to me. Get your shit together or the Bears are going to try and get something of value for you. I think Bennett is a good player but if the FO and staff feel he isn't a fit or is a distraction then I'm going to trust their judgement.

The fact that they went out and signed Ray McDonald before his situation was settled, and the allegations against him being far worse than Bennett or Marshall, makes your argument invalid. They don't give two fucks about distractions or character. Quite frankly, if they trade Bennett, after trading Marshall, when the obvious problem on the field is Cutler, then I have no fucking clue what they value or what their plan is.

Um, this is a pretty stupid comment, considering I am not the least bit angry. Just pointing out that what I'm seeing so far with Pace is the same ol' same ol' Chicago mediocre Bears. "Defense and Run Da Ball." "Trading Marshall wasn't about money, it was about character and distractions, by the way meet your new DE Ray McDonald." "Bennett and Forte have been our most productive players, so we'll play hardball on contract negotiations."

If they can get good value, for him you bet your ass they'll be trading him. It's a sell high scenario where this team won't be competing for a Super Bowl with him the next two years and he is likely gone after that. You get proper value for him now in a trade because this team isn't playoff bound with him in place the next two years.

You really don't have a clue, do you? Bears do have the cap space,$11M as of right now, Bennett has not sat out anything he is required to be at, and Cutlers cap# is 9th for QB's, it is not fucking up anything. If they trade Bennett it will be because of value in return, and a very Marshall-esque distracting personality subtraction.

so your ok with forte and Bennett not showing for workouts(I know its voluntary however with a new staff and what is being done its a big hint, hint to players its more than voluntary) even though just about everyone else did, forte basically turn his back on the piccolo award?you think the bears should give them contract extensions when they are on the back side of there careers?I can see your point but I don't see how its makes any sense

But Fox hasn't won anything. In fact, until Manning came in to save the day, he was a .500 coach.

EDIT: My mistake. He was 81-79 prior to Manning. Winning track record there.

What the heck, can Bears get a first-round pick for him? I'll take it.

They probably can't even get a round of beers for him. Oh well. We shall see.
