We got a 5th for BM and you guys want a third or better for a big mouthed TE? Good luck with that.

GTFO of here with your damn logic.

Sure Bennett is a bit out there, but he shows up on Sunday. He is a damn good player and we are not exactly stacked with talent. I guess I better start taking mah damn blood pressure pills again. This damn team is going to kill me or drive me to punching kittens.

Bennett is 3 years younger than Marshall + he's actually coming off of a very productive season. Marshall didn't.

I have no idea as to what Bennett could fetch us in a trade, but I'm hearing some mentioning Ravens as a possible destination if this were to happen (don't know if it's been mentioned earlier in the thread - too lazy to read through it all). They are desperate for receiving weapons, and Trestman, who's the OC there now, actually had Bennett playing really well.

But Fox hasn't won anything. In fact, until Manning came in to save the day, he was a .500 coach.

EDIT: My mistake. He was 81-79 prior to Manning. Winning track record there.

Hahahaha oh Jesus, now we get to hear this bullshit because morons are butthurt that the Bears aren't doing what fucking message board fans think they should. Fucks sake.

Bennet is the master of eluding tacklers for the first down . If we lose him that will be sorely missed. He is awesome at that.

Softening the ground for getting rid of Cutler by setting Cutler up for failure. Additionally, it allows Pace-Fox to remake the roster.

ND is horrible.
What part of obvious rebuild hasn't sunk in yet?

Bennett is trying to leverage the Bears because there's no decent replacement behind him and there's no talent in the draft. Bears don 't have the cap space so they'll off load him via trade rather than set a precedent of letting guys sit out for more money. Cutler's deal fucked it up for everyone.

Wow, if only someone had been telling the board this since late last season, but then again he'd probably of been disliked and called a phony fan for saying it....

Also, Moonthirty, you might have the Special person gene...

Bears entertaining trade offers for Pro Bowl TE Martellus Bennett, per league sources. Bennett wants a new contract in Chicago or anywhere.
trade not going to happen...

  • Every offense in NFL can use Bennett, including Gase.
  • Bennett is not going to sit out.
  • Bennett not too expensive 2015
  • Bears offense not so great they afford to trade Uinicorn for peanuts

unless they see his player attitude a team killer like Marshal???

I would think Martellus Bennett is certainly worth at least two #1's and probably a #2.

Signed,
Martellus Bennett

sorry I'm late.

this entire concept is homosexual. I mean, I get that the offense didn't produce well last year, but I doubt it was because they were actually Brandon Marshall and Martellus Bennett. can we go back to hating Jay Cutler for the offensive problems again? I'll accept that, Mr. Ryan Pace.

If he honestly thinks six million a year is too low...I'll take a draft pick or two for him.
If he's going to keep bitching about his contract, then trade his ass! Im good with that..

Pace really has to have a hell of a draft to instill some confidence as far as im concerned. I havent been impressed with a single move hes made, though hes made a few i flat out hate, this would be another.

And I love how a number of fans immediately try selling themselves on the idea of any and every possible move. Yeah, sure the team would be better off without Bennett.

I don't think I have ever agreed with you, until now. I'm worried.

The question is not whether the bears are better or worse off with or without him... the question is would you be willing to give a player who is only 2 years into his deal a new deal on the backside of his career? I don't want to see him go either, but I certainly don't want to re work his deal just because he thinks he deserves it... That's not how the world works. Especially not with a new regime who are not linked in any way to players that they did not draft or sign.
