Webb was a victim of Webb Nation and opposing DEs. So you want a T that allows social media to control his play? I guess that happened with his other teams as well.

Thing is, I also saw his potential but he suffered from weak brane. Didn't take well to training either. Seemed more a natural LT than RT. Probably had the ability to be pretty good if he applied himself but was never able to get his drop right and got mentally dominated. All the potential in the world but disappointed his fans and coaches with a poor work ethic and passive behavior.

You're not the only one that saw his potential, you were just the only one that wouldn't let it go when he refused to reach it and needed to blame everything else because you're overcompensating for some self esteemed issue or something something. Always some declaration or rationalization. It's old, man.
I'm going to guess based on your comments that you weren't first in line for his eBay shoe auction.

Mostly positive stuff except they seem a little worried about Center/RG.

Random player comment….. they said Dominique Robinson looks notably bulked up

Yeah I grimaced when I learned that the two guys they brought in to play center were being re-treaded to guard. Man oh man when will the Bears learn to make the interior offensive line a priority. Every year it feels like a rinse-repeat cycle:
  1. Team pays a ton of attention to other positions
  2. They sign 18th year free agent guard as a backup (two if they're lucky)
  3. Minicamp happens and the guys they were counting on are unable to practice or upset about losing their sweet rolls (ty Skyrim)
  4. Those 18th year veterans end up starting and looking inadequate.
  5. QB runs for his life
Is it too much to ask that they actually spend some draft capital on the interior offensive line? Something higher than a 5th round pick?

I can't stand touching fucking shoelaces. Ever go to tie your shoes and you notice the end of your laces are wet? Come on, why would they be wet? You go in the public bathrooms. You stand at the urinals...

Even if the laces are dry and even if you don't touch the body of the shoe, bacteria and viruses migrate from the sole up. Your average men's shit house is a fucking sewer. You look at a lady's johns you can eat maple walnut ice cream from the toilets. There's exceptions. But the men piss all over the fucking floor, urinals jammed with cigarettes and moth ball cakes.

They can pour all the fuckin ice they want down there, my friend, it does nothing to kill germs. Even if you keep your shoes tied, and your laces aren't dragging through urine.........

Well, that's kinda true. For whatever reason, women's restrooms have higher bacteria counts, by a factor of two. Go figure. I once observed a dude drop food on top of his shoe laces at a work social and then proceed to pick it up and eat it. I didn't say anything, but it was a wretched gesture.

no, Fields got fucked by Nagy his rookie preseason

Yeah, I think it’s refreshing to take a 1st round QB and not play around with making him “prove it” to get reps to get ready to play when everyone knows he is going to play his rookie year. And to just to do everything you can to prepare him to play.

I remember being distinctly irritated how Nagy “developed” Fields. Refused to give him reps with the 1’s. Kept saying he had a plan but couldn’t give any details on what that plan might be. Randomly plays him for a couple of plays in the first game of the season. Then started Fields vs the Browns, one of the top defenses with a horrendous game plan. Looking back on it now, I really do not understand why Nagy did not turn to Foles first if his real plan was to sit Fields for a year.

I recall there being something about how Foles knew that plays wouldn't work and would audible out of them.

That happened after Fields' horrendous first start against Cleveland. Maybe he knew that Foles couldn't escape a pass rush and depended on Fields having mobility out the wazoo. But I recall there being an interview with Griese later on that revealed that Foles didn't think Nagy knew what was going on.
