No doubt Ray McDonald is a moron....if you know that this is the same woman that supposedly made a false allegation in the past, why in the hell would you go over to that place alone...knowing you have a "zero tolerance"policy. From a cop perspective this sounds like BS assault charges, but due to liability and him not being at the scene when they arrived, you get one side of the story to work with. I havent read into it, but sounds like custody issues...probably went to pick up his kid and she refused, probably attempted to take kid from her arms... oh well he should know what type of person he is dealing with...not hard to ask for escort or turn ur phone video recorder on.

The Bears made a business decision. They gave a guy that the coaching staff was willing to bet on a chance to redeem himself. McDonald blew his opportunity and the Bears immediately cut him. It amazes me how judgmental and dramatic people have become. Today, if you're accused, you're guilty. McDonald has proven he has zero judgment but none of us know what happened yesterday only that he has been accused of wrongdoing by somebody that he has a contentious relationship with.
I wonder how some of these vocal critics would react if something similar happened to their brother or son.
I have no problem with the decision the Bears made to sign him or release him. This truly is the age of the pc, whiny bitch.

This is spot on....I seen many of people get arrested for false allegations....people dont understand how departments want no liability issues when it comes to the domestic abuse situation. Dont get me wrong, their are some pos out there and I seen my share, but its fucked up when you see it being used as a tool to get back at someone. Our department video tapes the victim at the scene now...that way when they try to change their story the DA will charge them with false report to peace officer.

I think it has been amplified a bit because it has now made George look like an incompetent.
Incompetent at what, predicting the future, reading minds, peering into souls?

The guy came to the Bears, gave a sincere representation of a guy that knew the err of his ways and wanted to change. He either lied well or just can't get out of his own way. Whether he did what he is accused of or just put himself in another bad spot, the Bears wasted no time, decisively cutting bait, unlike Baltimore or Minny, both of which backed the accused, only to change their tune based on public opinion.

I would say this is a model of how to handle the situation. A guy that has not been convicted or even charged with a crime, but seems to have judgement issues, is given a don't fuck up again chance by the Bears. He fails to abide by the guidelines and is immediately jettisoned. Where is the error in McCaskeys actions?

Personally, on the contract given, and given the situation, I would do the same thing Pace did 10 times out of 10.

Mongo is fond of calling the guy a rapist, but that wasn't proven, he wasn't convicted, and its not like there aren't people out there who falsely accuse athletes of rape, which to me, makes Mongo no worse than what he's been calling the rest of us.

What the guy DID do is continually find trouble. Even if not convicted, he was told to keep his nose clean and stay out of places where he could get into trouble, and he just couldn't do it.

Given the extenuating circumstances, I'd always give a guy like that a chance if I have a need at that position, with the same pay and guidelines, and always drop the hammer if they can't keep their shit together.

But hey, that's just me, and that's GIVEN the current situation. Its different if they were actually convicted of something.
But I hear he is a convicted rapist...no?

Have the Cowboys signed him yet?

You may have unknowingly stolen my joke that I unknowningly stole from Ommy. I don't care, but Ommy might just rage a bit. He can get a little touchy on 'message board plagerism' if that's even a thing...

I see them as all distinctly different. I put the emphasis on the underlined word and see three unique sentences. All is well.

The Cowboys will sign him tommorow

I think the error is signing him in the first place. And look, I was just as excited as anybody else and my hindsight is 20/20 here. It makes the whole press conference, and the, "I spoke with his parents, and Urban Meyer, etc.." and the comments about the "alleged victim," make him look ridiculous.

But again, that's just the way I read it.

He did do those things though. It's not like the McCaskey's lied and made that stuff up. On the surface, McDonald's apology and gesture seemed sincere at the time. It is unheard of for a free agent player to buy his own plane ticket and meet with the owner to offer an apology before being signed. The hearts of the Bears upper management was in the right place.

Right on cue that fucking Bernstein is clogging the airwaves with his outrage...

He should stick to objectifying women on Twitter. Douche!

You realize that you are part of the reason he has been "clogging" the airwaves for as long as he has been.

McDonald probably isn't a heinous criminal as much as he's just stuck in a pattern of behavior likely tied to his former relationship with his ex fiancé and mother of his child. I doubt she's guiltless, but you shouldn't push a woman around - especially if you're his size. Now he's really screwed himself, because it's all ammo for custody and visitation.

I find suggestions the Bears should be penalized in any way ridiculous. The guy never played a snap and never even wore pads on the practice field.

No one but the 2 of them know if anyone got pushed around. The point is that he should have never been alone with that women under any circumstances. Its enough to get him canned on the stupidity clause.

If you don't like don't listen.

Considering I'm not surveyed for their ratings book and I don't buy a single product advertised on their show, I have absolutely nothing to do with them being on the radio. In addition, I'm hardly a regular listener. I spend most of my time on XM.

Think about this sh#t as you contemplate how to use your remaining vacation days at your salary per year( no disrespect to whatever you make, I assume folks on the forums 5 to 6 figures, effectively to stop yourself from "killing" your co-workers (work related way) and this assf### just pissed it away, after 5 strikes, cus bit*hes be trippin and I'm drunk. No sympathy. Kyle long voice...Good riddance. Bear Down
