I think they are trying to bluff....I think Arlington Heights is still the plan...
The school districts are being greedy.

I agree, the Bears are playing the game.I think they are trying to bluff....I think Arlington Heights is still the plan...

It is going to be ideal when the Bears first game in their new stadium (The Fishbowl) is covered by a national Game of the Week audience where it seems like the Bears created statues of past Bear greats outside the stadium, only to discover that those 'statues' are actually victims with cement shoes of Al Capone. My buddy's cousin's pal's neighbor's friend's uncle who works for the city said he saw on facebook the deal was scrapped because Caleb Williams demanded to play in a dome built under lake michigan.
Wasn't that his brother Michael? And another thing George has touched has turned to shit. How long will Kevin Warren stick around now?
So, are you thinking that Chicago will throw in Gary, Indiana to sweeten the deal?I think (hope) the Bears approach the new stadium the same way as JF1/1.1 pick, that is, do the better deal. Both locations are premium spots. If one deal becomes a materially better financial deal, do it. If the 1.1 pick can be traded for a king's ransom, trade it. If Fields can be traded for a #1, trade him. Once all offers are on the table, I think the decision(s) make themselves.
There is still time. All the AH city council members can be voted out before a decision is made.Idk man. I was reading some AH city council minutes when the initial news broke. People of AH were PISSED off about a singular new apartment complex. I’m thinking a football stadium isn’t going to be welcomed. And seems AH agrees by not offering any tax incentives
Arlington Heights is fully within Cook County and surrounded by cities still within same.Arlington Heights must've really been given the Bears hell if they're choosing to working the city of Chicago and Cook County.
This isn’t simply about building a new stadium. It’s about the Bears owning an extensive real estate development with a stadium at its core.
Yea..I heard about that...the problem for me is, I also heard to get a ticket to a Bear game there, one has to be a certified Scuba Diver....any truth to this?Underwater stadium now that's something.
I think I know that guy.....he's the one always hanging around the water cooler, right? My buddy's cousin's pal's neighbor's friend's uncle who works for the city said he saw on facebook the deal was scrapped because Caleb Williams demanded to play in a dome built under lake michigan.
I,uh, were gonna need a bigger boat.Yea..I heard about that...the problem for me is, I also heard to get a ticket to a Bear game there, one has to be a certified Scuba Diver....any truth to this?
School districts being greedy? Who would of ever thunk it?I think they are trying to bluff....I think Arlington Heights is still the plan...

Yeah they need more money to pay their superintendents 350,000 dollars a year instead of the measly 250K they make now. Teachers can still buy their own classroom supplies with their own money That 60k salary is fine.School districts being greedy? Who would of ever thunk it?
100 percent. This is about creating an entertainment experience, not a stadium. They want to arrive in the 21st century. They want SoFi. They want AT&T. This is a sports megaplex, casino, family entertainment venue, and, yes, stadium, all in one. This isn’t simply about building a new stadium. It’s about the Bears owning an extensive real estate development with a stadium at its core. It’s Kroenke 2.0, even down to using a race track property as the development space. That type of real estate development isn't happening down in Chicago, where public property is involved, nor in any of the other mentioned suburban locations, where there’s not enough open land.
The difference in assessed value that’s being argued about is enough to fight over, but not enough to kill the project. In the end, it will be Arlington Heights, simply because there are no alternatives that will give the Bears what they really want…
I haven't been through Gary in years (now take I57 instead of I65 to get south) but wouldn't say I remember it as a premium location although I think the steel mills are mostly gone so maybe it has been revitalized. So, are you thinking that Chicago will throw in Gary, Indiana to sweeten the deal?

That ain’t happening in Chicago. Lots of backwards-thinking people don’t understand the scope or the game. They still think this is about a 100-yard patch of grass.
It seems I should have used green text.I haven't been through Gary in years (now take I57 instead of I65 to get south) but wouldn't say I remember it as a premium location although I think the steel mills are mostly gone so maybe it has been revitalized.
I tend to agree. They can recoup the $$'s they spent for the land, but they could build a true destination site inTactic to soften up the AH city hardliners.
New stadium will be in Arlington Heights. Book it.
