Completely disagree. His lower rookie contract allowed the Bears the cap flexiblity to give Cutler a contract, extend Marshall and..... Oh, yeah, you were right...

except again he was the 20th pick in the 4th round so odds weren't very high he'd be anything but a special teamer anyways. who should the bears have drafted? not like there's a bunch of studs picked in the late 4th round who the bears passed on. with hindsight you could probably find a handful of players the bears "should" have drafted but picks after the 3rd round are pretty much just rolls of the dice with very little odds of paying off.

goldman has versatility to play outside as well. also he's a vastly superior prospect. even if williams by some miracle turns out to be a stud nose tackle i don't see why that would make the goldman pick stupid. goldman was a 1st round prospect and great value in the 2nd at a position of need. williams was a consensus undrafted free agent with like 4 suspensions in college. have no idea what one has to do with the other.

Greene never stood a chance in a 3-4 and Bostic likely doesn't either. Greene likely represents the first of the 4-3 kids to get axed as this team develops its personnel.

I hope this gives David Bass and Christian Jones a better chance of making the final roster.

So explain the Devlin signing to me....there aren't enough QBs around to throw the football between Carden, Fales & Clausen?? I hate wasting a spot on the practice squad for a 27yo. I assume this means Fales goes bye-bye too?

None of them have a guaranteed job yet. They'll fight for that in the preseason.

I thought Greene was the safest pick on paper of the last regime's draft picks. Thought worst case was a serviceable Will LB.

That being said, I hated the pick at the time because I the Bears had already drafted a LB and I thought they had bigger depth needs at CB and WR and he'd be wasted with Briggs cemented in the only position he could play.

I don't think Christian Jones has much a chance of not making the final roster barring a season ending injury during training camp.

I hope Washington might get some PT. I know most have given up on him, but I find it hard to believe that he can't at least be serviceable with his physical mix.

That's quite a bit of hyperbole. Jeffery, Long, Fuller are all solid to Pro Bowl starters. Mills, Bostic, Ferguson, McClellin, Sutton, O' Donell have been contributors. C Jones, Carey, Vereen, M Wilson, Washington are still around and in some cases will get a much more significant role moving forward. Drafting by Emery, esp after the first year was acceptable. The coaching decisions were not.

If you consider Bostic and Washington good pickups because they "have contributed", every GM gets great grades.

Nah, it's peaceful or not at all, you just make the middle earth hate you all the more when you riot. This isn't the early 80s Urblock.

Well you could camp outside the London Stock Exchange. Maybe do some acid or something. Defecate on the street, don't place your rubbish in the bin. Maybe cut in the queue. All good, productive forms of rioting. Just try to be orderly with your chaos :)

I wonder if Greene's conditioning was the issue. He definitely flamed out in Chicago. I thought he had potential as a downhill OLB. Hopefully it's a wakeup call for him and I hope someone gives him another chance. He has to be serious about it if he gets one.
