If he was beating his wife while saying what he did about Marshall, that would be hypocrisy. This is not. He made a stupid, dumbass, offensive remark, certainly. But it's not hypocritical.

Objectifying is objectifying. I never said they were equal. Of course it's hypocritical. The self righteous need to actually be more righteous to remain credible. Something you're well aware of, judging from your political sensibilities.

That's been my beef with Bernstein of late. The show used to be hysterical. For whatever reason, Dan decided, about 5 years ago, that he was basically going to turn a silly sports talk show that did anything but take itself seriously, into some far lefty platform - essentially the sports radio wing of Gawker Media (which is funny because Dan's favorite Gawker site, Deadspin, is beating him up over this). Every day, the show isn't about silly sports, it's about Dan standing on ceremony with some cause dujour, whether it be CTE, Penn State, Child Abuse, The Rights of Womyn or *** anything. Peppered in with lots of talk about food, wine and his son (and ironically enough, not his daughter).

I like to debate. I enjoy spirited discussion. Dan is the worst kind. He does the 3 things I hate:

- present opinion as undisputed fact (and dismiss anyone who doesn't accept his opinion and/or deflects when asked to back up said opinion as fact)
- only engages in 'debate' with morons who can't tie their own shoes. Notice, he'll never debate anyone with an IQ over 12. His laptop wannabe Abbatacola lets mouth breathers on so Dan can 'destroy' them. And then he'll talk about Carlos Boozer being a 'bumslayer'.
- Hypocrite

Yep, that's what this all boils down to. He's a hypocrite. If you are going to wear the Civil Warrior badge especially when it comes to 'domestic abuse' and convict everyone outright (Ray McDonald, etc) and at the same time, engage in this sort of behavior, you are precisely a hypocrite. This isn't the first time though - there's been lots of it when it comes to Megan Glaros, Cheryl Scott and others. Hell, his comments about Brittany Greiner should have gotten him in deep shit.

Just a few short week ago, Bernstein was railing about the 'sexist' outfits that the Ice Girls wear at the UC. Really? Beautiful young fit girls in skirts and socks that come up to their knees? That's sexist? But then he'll tweet - clearly drunk on some of his Cameron Hughes wine - about some Comcast personality? It's one thing to just say 'wow, what a body', but he took it a step further. He said 'I literally do not care about her skills, her profession that she is trying to be better at - I ONLY care about her large breastesses'.

THAT is hypocrisy.

Dan is a professional public figure with a fancy Duke education and is in his mid 40s. He should know when to say shit publicly and when to say it privately. That's part of being a grown up.

Laurence did have a pretty good go. Went in pretty strong on Dan, and more importantly management. Also said things behind the scenes are pretty shitty right now. CSN is pissed, people are pissed at management for no consequences, said that people walked out of the station out of frustration. There was tons he said, too much for me to put down, just have a listen yourself.
