Least judgmental? Lol. I guess you didn't stick around long enough to notice the seething friction between the norteños, natives, and peckerwoods who are there year round. The only thing locals agree on is how to sucker the tourists

I live in the Bay Area and cringe when I have to go into the city. The homeless in SF have more pull than a tourist and they are everywhere. Crapping in the street and hassling people for a handout to the point they scare people. Only city in the USA where the homeless get a check twice a month from the city. At least they used to. And Oakland is as bad as advertised....lol

Best city....Yorkville Ill..........cause I grew up there

I forgot to mention the homeless people. They're so fucking annoying. They think they are ENTITLED to your hard earned money. And they are everywhere, especially Fisherman's Wharf and Farmer's Market. One major drawback of the city.

San Francisco is cool. Been there twice. I thought Oakland was pretty cool too.
I'm not a fan of LA or Sacramento. Seriously, Sacramento dies on the weekend. It was like a bad Will Smith film.

Best US=Buena Vista, Colorado...and I've been all over Alaska.
Best International=Samana, Dominican Republic or Ponce Puerto Rico.

Worst US...this list is endless.

1. Elgin, IL., no $$, no class, shitty roads, high taxes.
2. Miami, hopefully the sea reclaims this dump.
3. Lexington, KY...picture Rockford with a southern accent.
4. Atlanta, the traffic makes Chicago look like Springfield. And to complicate matters, all the streets change names from one neighborhood to the next. This is due to racial segregation.

Worst Int: Cap-Haitien, Haiti.

Okay, not countining cities/metro areas I've *lived* in--which means Chicago, Cheyenne, Phoenix, Portland and Seattle are off the list. I think if you live there it's a whole different can of worms. I'm also not including any cities I just "passed through" since there wasn't enough to sample them (LA, Carson City, Medford, Munich, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Toronto, Bellingham, Boise, Coeur D' laine <sp?>, Sheridan, Bozeman, Billings, Missoula, Casper, Springfield (IL and OR), New York, Las Vegas (will change soon), Flagstaff, or Tuscon:

Best:
San Fransisco, CA, USA. Awesome weather IMHO--doesn't get blazing hot and a lot of fun things to do there.
Vancouver, BC, CAN. Clean, great weather, friendly people.
Košice, SVK. Great architecture and pretty freindly people. Hasn't yet been fully westernized
Prague, CZK. Still has a lot of older architecture in spite of being westernized. Freindly people.
Vienna, AUS. Prototypical european city with great architecture. Public ice skating paths in the winter a big plus. Friendly people.

Worst:
Kansas City, MO, USA: Town is pretty much dead and lifeless. The less I have to go there, the better. Humidity in the summer is oppressive. Not a decent mountain within 200 square miles.
Bratislava, SVK: People not as friendly as in Košice. They tend to be assholes to anyone from eastern Slovakia. They also seem to be westernizing the entire city archictectually at the expence of all of the old-world style of architecture.
Budapest, HUN: Not as picturesque as Prague, Košice, or Vienna. Hungarian language is wierd and the people there seemed less accomodating to non-native speakers and less patient with those trying to speak the language.
Indianapolis, IN: It's like someone cloned Chicago, took everything that made Chicago awesome and stripped it out. Like KC, seems lifeless.
St Louis: Complete Hole: National Lampoon's Vacation pretty much got that one right.

Not listed:
Denver
Salem, OR
Kamloops
Kelowna
Poprad, SVK
Banska Bystrica, SVK
Trencin, SVK
Everett, WA
Tri Cities, WA
Spokane, WA
Maupin, OR
East Yellowstone, MT

I am curious, what do you love about Jacksonville?

Never been there myself.... I know very little about the city.
