I'm confused by this response. Did I miss something?
Yes, Wino has a UK supermarket tabloid called
The Express (a.k.a., Britain's most popular source of libel lawsuits) which is published by the company that prints "The Star" and a "Hot Asian Mambajambas" confused as a credible news source. You see,
The Express ran a story about a helpless young woman SOMEWHERE IN RUSSIA (that's really norrowing things down for anyone who wants to do fact checking, but then this is
The Express so why bother?) 19 year old who called her mother on her cell phone to GIVE A PLAY BY PLAY ACCOUNT OF BEING EATEN BY A BEAR WITHOUT PASSING OUT FROM SHOCK AS IT WAS HAPPENING. Strangely, the most sensational thing about the story was that it didn't include a description of the wonderous capabilities of the girl's cell phone provider which you'd normally expect to find as the purchaser of a full page advertisement of next to the article on the newstand edition of
The Express (this was from the online edition though, leaving Wino unable to use this fine publication for other more suited purposes).
Most people wouldn't put up such a stink having the source of such dribble pointed out as being suspect, this is as Wino pointed out a not so serious thread about people finding bizarre ways of dying and not a serious political discussion, but Wino is apparently concerned that people hold
The Express in the same high esteem as he does as his other sources of his information. Garbage in, garbage out, that is what Wino fear people will think of his output in other threads should he fail to defend the honor of UK's most wonderous rag,
The Express.
Also, he may or may not be out of Scooby Snacks, brought to you by the avertisers of,
The Express.
