I'm not sure Sharp was worth a positive at his cap hit and age.

We didn't get anything, we actually paid Johns to remove 2,500,000

Just scanning a handful of names, right now his performance is on part of better than other LW at and above his pay level. So right now he's getting paid about what he's worth. And another team has essentially gotten a really solid player for what amounted to nothing. And we through in a prospect.

We officially got nothing for Sharp and Johns now except cap space, which he's worth more than. Huge failure by Stan.

In what way is a salary dump that results in dumped salary a "huge failure?" Everyone knew Sharp was gone and Bowman had no leverage in moving him, and Johns has done bupkus in Dallas.

Eric Lear just tweeted out the following lines.

#Blackhawks lines: Ladd-Toews-Shaw, Panarin-Anisimov-Kane, Desjardins-Teravainen-Fleischmann, Mashinter-Rasmussen-Panik.

Weise is apparently dealing with some customs issues before he joins the team. Also, remember that Kruger/Hossa are still injured so these lines will certainly look different (and a whole lot deeper) in time.

Also - Ladd will wear #16 and Kruger will go to #22. Heard that apparently Kruger offered it up right away once Ladd was acquired.

Not a rumor at all, but I have to think that on the surface a trade based around Bickell for Cowen could make a lot of sense if Toronto is actually thinking about a trade for Bickell.

Edit at 9:40pm cst: Now, thanks to HNIC tonight - I think you can officially consider this a rumor. The panel discussed that this is something that is being floated out there by both teams.

Svedberg was sent back down to the AHL yesterday. Which means that Ehrhoff will be with the Blackhawks and I'm sure they will get him some playing time considering Q has been hot/cold with Gus lately (and rightfully so).

It's strange, i'm almost excited about how Q juggles the lines now with all the new pieces to see how it works out. Anyone know how close Hoss and Kruger are to coming back. I can not fucking wait to see the whole lineup in place with Shaw back on the 3/4th.

In regards to the injuries...

Kruger - is skating but obviously an injured wrist isn't going to stop him from skating and keeping his legs in shape. He is still considered out long term at this point.

Hossa - started skating yesterday and he could be back as early as this Saturday according to Q.

Related to the Andrew Ladd love: I busted out my Ladd shirsey on Friday night and wore it to a concert. Had at least a dozen people tell me how excited they were to have him back in town. Forgot how much of a fan favorite he was.
