I saw someone on the Facebook page suggest a Boozer for KG trade. How perfect would that be?! KG is still a hell of a defender and only makes Noah/Asik/Taj better on D. He is a great leader and has more height than Booz. He still has a decent post game and can play with his back to the basket, something Boozer tends to stay away from. KG and Boozer make a similar percentage from the mid-range and best case scenario, he passes on some good knowledge to our young bigs, win a championship and KG retires on top giving us cap room to resign players and maybe pick up another piece.

I know Im going to get the "keep the team together". "we can win it all with this team" bullshit, but in all reality I still question us against the Heat. Its a 50/50 shot in my opinion, but I think a simple move like this would put us over the top.

(and for sp1994 jr smith couldnt hurt our chances as well, cause I think we may need to give up Bulter or a late pick cause Boozer really isnt that attractive)

well that response sucked. You dont think KG would improve our already amazing defense? Yes. Would he not provide experience and leadership? Yes. Would you still get the same hooting and hollering like Boozer? Yes. Do you still have a PF that cant dunk? Yes. But would you be able to get him off the books sooner than Boozer without using the amensty? Yes.

I dont see the downfall here unless you cant match salaries. Their offensive games are pretty similar, but you get the addition height with LG

I wouldn't do it. I have been as harsh of a Boozer critic as anybody, but this move would jeopardize the few good things we have going right now.

I'm a big chemistry guy. When your team has good chemistry, they over-perform. We have been over-performing quite a bit, and you can see that in how we are able to handle these injuries. If we mess with that chemistry and we don't hit an absolute home-run with one of our trades, we'll basically have nothing to show for it this season or even next season. That is not a good risk to take. It's not even a high-risk, high-reward move. It's a high-risk, lateral-reward at best.

No fucking way I rather keep Boozer than get KG plus Noah doesn't get along with him.

The only reason why the Bulls would even think about doing this is because they'd clear a lot of cap space at the end of the season [although we'd still probably be over the cap when Rose's new contract kicks in].

KG could probably give a team 24 mins and be pretty productive. I don't think KG is a guy that would ruin our chemistry. He's more of a team play.. and it wouldn't take him long to adjust since he already knows the system.

But like Megatron said, we'd have to give up more than just boozer to get him. It's have to be Boozer + either Brewer or Korver [most likely brewer] and maybe someone else. Idk if that'd be worth it.

on the flip side, I actually see the Celtics being more hesitant to make this trade compared to the Bulls. They'd have to take Boozer's ugly contract for the next 3 seasons... and they're looking to clear cap space and get younger. Getting Boozer would do the exact opposite.

KG is a shell of himself.

Boozer is playing the best ball since he has been a Bull.

This trade makes little sense for either side, and as others noted the salaries don't match.

Boozer is fine for now. Ripping part of the team to get KG & some of Boston's leftovers doesn't sound too enticing.

As others have already said....Jo hates KG...KG hates Jo.

If this was the KG of 2002 we were talking about, fine. But nope. Have no desire for him now. Even with Boozer. Also the other problems in trading for him have already been addressed.

This trade is a no-brainer-

YES.

Just because Boozer has been getting hot shooting JUMPERS over a 3-game span doesn't change that he is the worst defender on the team and a horrible contract.

You would be upgrading from one of the worst defensive PF's to one of the best defensive PF's.

The rebounding would take a shot but they can always use more of Taj Gibson.

And the best part is KG'S CONTRACT EXPIRES AT THE END OF THE SEASON. Boozer's doesn't expire for another FOUR YEARS! They can re-sign KG for a Rip Hamilton-esque type of deal and/or (more importantly) re-sign Taj Gibson who is INVALUABLE for this team and is the guy who matches up better against the Miami Heat defensively than the injury-prone Boozer.

Get your heads out of the clouds. Boozer for KG is makes sense at nearly every level.

I'd also consider sending Deng away for Pierce too, if that became available, if it becomes obvious that Deng will not be very effective for the rest of the season. I know that this F.O. wants to say that they built this team in the draft/free-agency but that isn't realistic to maintain long-term.

And who cares if Noah doesn't like K.G.? NOBODY personally likes K.G. on opposing teams. Hell, nobody likes Noah on opposing teams either. Some players just rub you the wrong way but are great teammates. Noah and K.G. are those types of players. The mpst important thing is that Rose and K.G. respect either other. Garnett is a Thibodeau-type of player. Boozer- not so much.

No one is going to claim that this is the "K.G." of-old. But this is far from the Boozer of-old either. Boozer used to be able to explode to the rim and dunk on anyone. Now, his leaping ability is diminishing and he is becoming injury prone. The best asset Boozer brings to the table is his rebounding and (guess what)- The Chicago Bulls were ALREADY 1st in rebounding the season BEFORE we signed Boozer!
