I'd also consider sending Deng away for Pierce too, if that became available, if it becomes obvious that Deng will not be very effective for the rest of the season. I know that this F.O. wants to say that they built this team in the draft/free-agency but that isn't realistic to maintain long-term.

And who cares if Noah doesn't like K.G.? NOBODY personally likes K.G. on opposing teams. Hell, nobody likes Noah on opposing teams either. Some players just rub you the wrong way but are great teammates. Noah and K.G. are those types of players. The mpst important thing is that Rose and K.G. respect either other. Garnett is a Thibodeau-type of player. Boozer- not so much.

No one is going to claim that this is the "K.G." of-old. But this is far from the Boozer of-old either. Boozer used to be able to explode to the rim and dunk on anyone. Now, his leaping ability is diminishing and he is becoming injury prone. The best asset Boozer brings to the table is his rebounding and (guess what)- The Chicago Bulls were ALREADY 1st in rebounding the season BEFORE we signed Boozer!

Are you seriously a Bulls fan? Let's just gut the rest of the team & take Rondo while were at it. KG is in no way, shape, or form the player he used to be. He's not even a top post defender anymore. He's turning into Ben Wallace now with a better jump shot. And Pierce is almost as slow as Roy Hibbert & he's a wing. Just awful trade ideas.

You don't trade away half your championship contender team to get 2 aging vets who can barely get thru 30mpg in a lock-out shortened season. If everyone is so worried about money & going after a Mayo or Gordon, then AC Boozer next season. Problem solved, & you lose no other talent.

This trade is a no-brainer-

Just because Boozer has been getting hot shooting JUMPERS over a 3-game span doesn't change that he is the worst defender on the team and a horrible contract.

You would be upgrading from one of the worst defensive PF's to one of the best defensive PF's.

The rebounding would take a shot but they can always use more of Taj Gibson.

And the best part is KG'S CONTRACT EXPIRES AT THE END OF THE SEASON. Boozer's doesn't expire for another FOUR YEARS! They can re-sign KG for a Rip Hamilton-esque type of deal and/or (more importantly) re-sign Taj Gibson who is INVALUABLE for this team and is the guy who matches up better against the Miami Heat defensively than the injury-prone Boozer.

Thank you! You are the only one with a brain in here. Your completely right on so many levels. Jo and KG would get along once they started winning and Jo realizes that he doesnt need to help on every play cause Boozer doesnt know how to move his feet. We would get the same production out of KG/Taj as Boozer/Taj. Thibs would love it and everyone would buy in quickly including KG. The big thing that this trade accomplishes is we get better defensively down low and some terrible contracts (as we would probably have to trade Korver as well as pointed out previously...also a bad contract).

The other thing that happens is we get to KEEP TAJ! Way more flexibility after the season. Call Ainge and see if he bites.

PS Rami I dont know if I agree with the Pierce trade though. Deng could come back or you look in another direction that not so expensive

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Deng/Pierce trade.

If the Bulls do consider acquiring Garnett, they could always amnesty Noah, and they can resign Taj and Omer. :dunno:

I also think KG looks a little worse this season because he isnt getting the same production out of Pierce. And the Perkins trade hurt his defense. With Rose as a legitimate scoring threat (unlike Rondo) it might open the floor more for him. Allen and Rip have very similar games so he would work well with him and Noah has the same mentality as KG and Perkins. They would be a perfect fit.

Uman, nothing to back that up really doesnt make your statement relevant. To be honest no one knows exactly what would happen, but KG, Noah and Rose all play with a lot of hustle, heart and love for the game and buy into Thibs philosophy. Boozer has always seemed like an outsider to me and without Taj next season you can forget about winning a championship all together.

Im sorry that Rami is the only one here that sees the obvious benefits here and knows the importance of Taj and the future.

Taj will be replaced by someone if he signs somewhere else.

The idea of amnestying Noah, and being free of Boozer's contract :fap:

Coming from someone who thinks getting a player long past his prime is going to make this team better.
The argument could be made that Boozer is past his prime too.

If Deng was healthy, I'd be trading Boozer for KG in a second.

Bolded. Good point, and that's the only reason I'd make the trade.

Boozer isn't going to get better, and I don't believe Noah will get better. Deng is a big question mark now.

Ayayay, just going to have to agree to disagree.
One week ago you wanted to dump Noah and Boozer

:smug2:

I don't think the Celtics would do a trade with this base.

Let's look at the obvious here:

KG is a MUCH better defender than Boozer.

KG is a better and more consistent jump-shooter than Boozer.

KG is capable of playing next to Taj Gibson as a center which matches up INCREDIBLY well against the Heat vesus what we have to work with right now.

KG has 4 less years on his contract than Boozer does to TOP IT OFF! This trade not only makes you better right now, but it also opens up cap-space that will ALLOW this team to retain their front-court depth long-term.

I am not at all for trading Deng unless he simply can't go. If he can't go, getting Pierce in exchange for Deng is a decent option to consider. You are calling Pierce slow yet Deng even 7 years younger. It is at least something to consider if you want to beat the Heat.

Pierce is still a much better offensive player than Deng. Defensively and rebounding, nope. But it is at least something to consider if Deng's season is over early.

Do you know what the chances of beating Miami or OKC are if Brewer is the starting SF?

ZERO percent.
