we would clear a lot of cap space.. but we'd still be over the Cap. Noah's getting 11+ Million, Deng's gonna get 13+, Rose's new contract will kick in and we'd still have Korver, Watson, Butler, Asik, Gibson + whoever we take in the draft.

But IF we somehow were under the cap, it wouldn't be enough to sign anyone really good anyway.

plus next years FA class is pretty weak. NBA free agents in 2011 and 2012 - ESPN

There's some solid role players we could potentially get though for the MLE

Yeah but we can use the MLE with everyone as is can't we? If we trade Boozer we lose Garnett in the next couple years (assuming we resign him to a short deal) or even immediately and then we have to pick up someone just to play backup to Taj. I'd rather have both Boozer and Taj than Taj and some random guy.

if we enter free agency under the cap, we can't use the full MLE.. if we enter free agency over the cap, we can use it.

But in 2 years, the full MLE will go down [I believe] and won't really be as valuable. So next off-season will be the last off-season we can use our full MLE.

luol for pierce is even more nonsense then boozer for KG

ray allen is the only one worth trading for but like ppl said in another thread trading for him would probably do more harm then good

im happy with this team as is i think we got a legit shot at the title as long as everybody is healty come playoff time....i dont think we should make ANY trades

unless its kyle korver+pick for eric gordon ofcourse :smug: hell through in King Lucas The III as a bouns....deal of a lifetime you'd be a fool to decline

I wouldn't do this. Boozer actually has been pretty alright this year and so far I can't hate on him. If he just happens to not show up in the playoffs, then I'll have a problem with him. Plus KG just isn't playing that well this season.

I changed my mind about Deng for Pierce as something to consider. I just couldn't do that even if Deng is going to miss the season.

But I have little doubt in my mind that Boozer for Garnett would help the Bulls this year (because of the upgrade on defense at PF and offensively at times at C) and into the future (because of the freeing cap-space).

Don't see it happening at all. As much as I've criticized Boozer, he's still a good player and it would totally mess up the chemistry.
