Who else here hates pancakes, waffles, crepes, *insert anything sweet* here, for breakfast?

Waffles and pancakes are snacks for me, if at all. Not breakfast. Those plates of waffles with sugar syrup fruit and whip cream make me want to be sick. Sweet crepes suck, except as desert. But savory, stuffed crepes, like crepe neptune, etc, I love.

I don't mind pancakes on the side along with something savory. Just to balance things out. But I definitely don't like eating straight up sugary stuff by itself for breakfast.

Nope. I've had some alternative versions of it, but not those two.

You have to try Eggs Royale then, Steak instead of ham or canadian bacon, and bearnaise instead of hallandaise, or should I say bearnaisze.

That New Mexico green chili sounds good too.

Love it all and agree that there are multiple benefits to breakfast, breakfast foods, and the rituals. Love hollaindaise, friend potatoes, green chili, ham/bacon/sausage/steak/chorizo. Love skillets, breakfast burritos in all shapes and forms. Smothered, Smothered. Rellenos, huevos, and even those bennys. Avacado, spinach, tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, garlic, toast. What about to drink? Dont even get me started.

Time and place for everything. Maybe sweet like once a month. The restaurant Snooze, in Denver, absolutely nails it.

Since you eat a good while before going to bed, don't you wake up starving? At least that happens to me. Or is it something you get used to?

It definitely happens here too.

Favorite breakfast is probably Eggs Benedict with a side of corn beef hash (the good homemade stuff).

Eggs Benedict is the best breakfast food ever.

Coffee.

That's it. That's the list.

Got one last week, hell of a big needle pushing through inflammation into that bursa sack, shit hurts but that cortisone is magic.

That's what I figured. Do they strap you in so you don't try to squirm or punch the nurse?

I just got back and I qualify so I am hoping next week. My A1C went from 8.9 two months ago to 7.0. I am very happy.

Buy the frozen ones at Jewel.... you will change your tune.

I learned very quickly why I should just make the burrito if I want it...

How do they **** up such simple ingredients?

Speaking of eggs Benedict. Ran into "Hillbilly Benedict" at a restaurant a while back, don't remember where, pulled pork with a touch of (good) BBQ sauce over your choice of English muffin or hash browns w/egg (cooked to your liking) over the top. A million different combos.....

Can't eat anything sweet for breakfast. Went to Bakery School for work many years ago. Had to make 12 dozen of everything, could pick your flavors, toppings, icing, whatever..... Can barely look at donuts, sweet casseroles, coffee cake, danish, etc....
