Some pretty awful takes in this thread since Beach was revealed.

Not as bad as the "old" Hawks message board where I bowed out this morning. Since Beach revealed himself, a few have basically done the "Why was she drunk wearing that short skirt if she didn't want it?' ; that somehow his reputation means he was lying/deserved it. JFC I'm still pissed about reading that garbage.

Thankful for people here having the decency and empathy to realize how awful this is. Perhaps not in scope, but certainly in egregiousness, this is Penn State, US gymnastics, OSU wrestling; the quantity doesn't matter, one is too many.

Does anyone know how the University of Ohio acted differently than the Blackhawks? From what I can find they found out about a situation with an undergrad student, put Aldrich on leave, and made him resign. Did they go to police?

How did he get any jobs after the Hawks?
Even worse, how was he able to work with high schoolers after Miami Ohio?
Everything I can find says that they 'responded appropriately'.

Either the Hawks were giving recommendations, or the people that hired him after these incidents didn't do their background checks because "He won the cup with the Hawks and says he just doesnt like to travel"

I have read that the fact that Aldrich had the Cup in his hometown where the high school was is the recommendation from the Blackhawks.
Why was there no info in the report on if the Hawks HR ever recommended him, warned employers, or never got a call.

Aldrich says he never used anyone with the Hawks as a reference.

Hey Jim, long time no see. Which "old Hawks message board" do you mean? Just curious.

Yeah I mean, kudos to Toews and Kane for actually doing a post-game interview -- something Q refused to do -- but when they started essentially defending Bowman, I cringed a bit. I will say though, even though Toews came across worse, he at least was more honest than Kane, in my eyes anyway. When he was asked if he would have done anything differently back then, he simply said no, that he thought it was handled considering the coach was longer with the team (when he heard about it), etc.
