Looks like the generational, can't miss WR who would've made Fields a superstar is not there either. What a year!
Good thing we drafted the other WR who had less production than him

That's a bold statement.

Here's the biggest area where u and I differ...if Daniels was on the Bears this last year, he would have, in my opinion, won more games than Williams did heading this offense. Even with the coaching, line, everything.

And Williams would have won less games, in my opinion, than Daniels if Caleb was with Washington this last year.

I'd pretty much bet anything on that.

Doesn't mean Daniels is going to be the better QB 3 years from now but it sure as shit means he's the better QB now.

And not by a little.
You are almost 100% correct.

Where you went wrong is with Williams in Washington, with the coach he played for at USC where all of the experts had him as the generational can't miss candidate.

Of course, Daniels would have played better here. However, coaching matters and Williams would have had a much better season in Washington under a coach he was familiar with.

So you are correct about Daniels in Chicago, but slightly too pessimistic on Williams in Washington.

I don’t really care. He doesn’t deserve to win it and every player on that list belongs on it. It’s just extra motivation for Williams and it’s a useless stupid award. I think Jayden Daniels would trade that award for a Super Bowl any day.

But Sam Bradford did... so what is your point?
You have an example of someone who wasn’t good at first and then become good. I have you an example of someone who wasn’t good and never become good. Fun stuff!

i think you are misunderstanding what I'm saying.

I'm not saying Williams wouldn't have played better in Washington than he would have in Chicago, I'm sure he would have.

I'm saying that Williams would not have played better in Washington compared to what Daniels did in Washington. That's the comparison.

In other words, Williams would not be anywhere close to fighting for a berth in the SB this weekend if he had played in Washington this year.

That’s a bold statement too.

You think it's bold to say Williams wouldn't in a million years have Washington in the NFC Championship game this weekend if he was the QB for the Commanders this year instead of Daniels?

You think Caleb would have done that?

Okay. Sure.

Okay. Sure.
It’s hard to say if he would have had exactly the same success. Daniels has rushed the ball 177 times and it’s a huge part of his game. I don’t believe Caleb could do that anywhere near as well as Daniels.

There’s a great chance playing under one of his college coaches, in an offense with structure and protection he would have had similar results.

Caleb is incredibly talented and to suggest otherwise is foolish.

I remember when RGIII was better than Luck and Russell Wilson. That first year, he was.

I know Daniels would have struggled mightily under Waldron and behind that makeshift offensive line. I truly doubt he would have made it through the season.
