BREAKING: Generational, best qb prospect since Peyton Manning w/ best situation for a #1 pick ever doesn’t make OROY finalist list. DAMN!

Does anybody think that if Daniels was the Bears QB they would have had more than 4 total yards of offense in the 1st half against Seattle?

Same OL and coaches? Wouldn't have cracked 2 yards total, 3 for entire game

I think if he had been in the situation day one with the coaches... most likely. Eberflus preached protecting the ball so much that it made Justin and Caleb play so tight and robotic they could not make a decision and held onto the ball. Fields finally got to just taking off until he ran himself tired. I think Daniels would have been on IR by the Seattle game.

If only the Bears would have listened to the majority of fans and traded the #1 overall pick.

The Bears could have had the HAUL with possibly the OROY, DROY, extra future first/second round draft picks, and a deep playoff run this season.

Yes but he might have ran which means @greg23 would automatically call him a RB

People underrate the coaching.

Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams are close in talent.

Kliff Kingsbury is a much better offensive mind than Waldron or Brown.

Dan Quinn is a much better version of Eberflus.

The difference in their statistics over the year is because of that gap in coaching.

It’s hard to say if he would have had exactly the same success. Daniels has rushed the ball 177 times and it’s a huge part of his game. I don’t believe Caleb could do that anywhere near as well as Daniels.

There’s a great chance playing under one of his college coaches, in an offense with structure and protection he would have had similar results.

Caleb is incredibly talented and to suggest otherwise is foolish.

I remember when RGIII was better than Luck and Russell Wilson. That first year, he was.

I know Daniels would have struggled mightily under Waldron and behind that makeshift offensive line. I truly doubt he would have made it through the season.

No one is arguing that Celeb's not talented. There are so many QBs that flopped who were talented. I'm sort of getting tired of hearing about Caleb's talent, personally.

Caleb having a rocket arm doesn't do a lot for me. Jeff George had a rocket arm. Many have had rocket arms. Daniels proved he could see the field better than Williams, find open receivers better, make decisions quicker, and most of all, lead his team on drives and score points better. All without a rocket arm. Yes, he had better coaching. Better line too.

I think Daniels would have been able to do that in Chi better than Williams was able to do that in Chi if he went to us. He wouldn't have taken Chi to the playoffs but he would have done better than Williams because of those things I mentioned I think. If you disagree with that, okay.

I also don't think Williams would have done nearly as well as Daniels if he had been in Washington. You think he would have had similar results. Okay.

But here's the thing...Chicago Bears fans seem to have this gigantic confirmation bias with these two guys. Bears fans want so desperately to believe Daniels will end up being RGIII and Williams will end up being Josh Allen that they don't seem to see reality in front of them with Daniels. We don't know who Williams is going to be. I pray he figures out how to see the field better and not look like a deer in headlights, process much faster and get rid of the ball faster. If he can do that, sure seems like he could be great. But that's a huge if. We all want that. Real bad. But to my way of thinking again, that is a huge if.

Daniels has already shown he can do all those things. Now Williams, with a better offensive mind, will show us if he can do them next year. Feels like we've all been in this boat a lot over the last bunch of years. Williams certainly has more talent that Mitch and Fields did but the one thing that scares me is that I'm not so sure someone can learn how to process better and see the field better in a significant way. Maybe it's just having the game slow down, something that happens after experience. We'll see next year.

I doubt he'd have lasted that long.
