I take medication, which I much prefer to having a .357 in my mouth. Tried to go off them and it doesn't work out. To each his own.

Sorry about your brother.

Oh for sure. I don't like making sweeping statements and everyone's body reacts differently so no judgments here. I just personally dislike putting man made drugs into my body.

My brother did this shit 3 years ago yesterday. Went out as a coward and selfish.

The tragic irony of depression and suicide is that many people think they are being selfless by killing themselves. It's difficult to rationalize with someone who legitimately thinks their very existence is a burden to the people they love and unlike Hollywood there isn't usually a Clarence Oddbody to show them that their life has worth even if they can't see past their inner demons.

In a way, your anger towards your brother is the opposite side of the same coin with that coin being the ability to see past your own perspective and see things from the perspective of another. If your brother had that ability, he would have come to understand that others valued his life even if he didn't and perhaps found a reason to live for them. If you had that ability, you would understand that some people become consumed by the darkness and it swallows them up and in so doing resolve your anger towards your brother. Of course, your brother can't learn that lesson in this life but you still can. For your sake I sincerely hope you can get past it as that kind of unresolved anger isn't good. And perhaps more importantly, you don't want your nephews carrying that kind of anger around with them because that shit can seriously **** up a kid and they tend to take cues from their adults in situations like this.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

I dont know what to make of all this. Its just such a shame. The kids left behind, the memories that wont be made, siblings lost and wondering, a mother and father toward the end of their own lives dealing with all of this. Your brother, victimized by depression. I'm just really sorry, Urblock, I hope that you and your family find peace, and specifically for you, stay strong, and let go of the anger as soon as you're able.

Sorry for commenting late on this... I read nothing else but your OP. Having had a friend blow his head off with a shotgun, I can relate to the mad/sad thing. I hope you find something that makes sense!
