You're possibly hearing speculation using the "Cash consideration" loophole, which is limited to like $6m. You still need the ability to take the cap hit and the league has been slowly adding more veto rules. If they would go this route, the monies would get shuffled in with other assets and draft picks. More trouble than it's worth, because there are no silver bullet trades that solve everything.

And frankly, it's all possible. Grease those palms, scratch some backs, you can get away with a sneaky trade once in a while. The Bulls are cheap, so whoever is thinking they will take the hits on Lavine has been hitting the adderall stash a bit hard.

The issue with trades, same as hockey, you have to vet out rumors that are possible from those that aren't. When too many trades become possible, the rumor-mill becomes so loaded with bullshit that it turns off fans, pisses off players, taints front office reputations, etc. And when things aren't all that possible, there's always some genius who thinks they're the one who found that loophole.

I guess it's 1988 tonight.

Bulls said, let's do the same thing we did vs the Kings, but win this time

Yep, Minnesota is one team you can get away with doing that against. It’s what makes them a good matchup for the bulls, but not many other teams. Gobert and towns are a rare pair of starting big men in todays game

I don't understand why this blueprint is so hard to sustain? It seems pretty logical to me to have coach just tell Coby to go out and hit 7 3's every half.

Seriously though, it's like they got it in their head from last year and earlier this year that they are a 4th quarter team that can overcome anything so they end up putting themselves in a big hole every game. Did not expect them to be able to dig out last night. Caruso missed a couple I expected him to make, but he more than got it back on D. Seeing Vuc and Big cat play together makes me laugh but it seems to work in stretches which is what Billy is doing. I really like the chemistry on this team, it's too bad it doesn't quite have the talent level to actually stick together. Ayo is blowing my expectations away from a growth perspective, Coby just WTF, P W I was just starting to get back around on but he's not healthy, DMarvelous is hitting that age wall, Vuc already signed and committed to, I just don't know where you go because Lavine isn't tradable. Feels like they have constructed themselves into a wall.

Tonight’s Bulls/Grizzlies game tonight is so uninspiring that I’m not bothering to go to the one game a year the Bulls are in Memphis.

And tickets are literally being given away

The GLeague Grizzlies played a much better game than the Bulls that's for sure.

The Grizzlies and their team of 2 way and 10 day contract players were way more "competitive" than I'd ever call this Bulls team. Suck on that AK

The Bulls now are what the Clippers were after McAdoo(Braves before Clips) and went into rebuild every 3-4 years. Not for a lack of trying, I mean, missing two of your best players and still winning quite often.... That's nuts, so better than the Clippers. Maybe the post-Bird Celtics of the 90s. Or worse, any Cavalier era without LeBron. I don't know, but they aren't constructed all that poorly, just can't stay healthy. Maybe the trace amounts of anti-freeze and hexavalent chromium in Lake Michigan just kill all our athletes?

Fun game tonight in Atlanta. Trae Young is a bitch.

EDIT: I didn't even realize he spells his name like an idiot as well.

Bogdan Bogdanovic might be a Bulls killer, but I guess Ayo is also a Hawks killer. Ayo's been on a heater lately

bulls really needed to trade away Demar and ZL and just roll with the backcourt of Coby and Ayo. let those two cats further their development. both their contracts look pretty favorable to the bulls right now

Bog Bog is just one of those dudes. Problem is if he came here he'd turn into Niko.

Follow up a competitive win with a competitive loss...guess that's just what AK was going for...competitive.

That said, Bulls played the Cavs pretty darn well and the Cavs have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the last couple months. They actually were, despite the jokes, competitive.
