My favorite teams
DeMar I'm moving for players, LaVine I'm moving for picks.if the right offer is there, sure. But, I'm not moving him just for the sake of moving him either

id take all the picks i could get in both instances. Have to match salaries up, though...so id be trying to get as many expiring deals in return as possible. I wouldnt concern myself with getting talented players back as much as financial flexibility for the next offseasonDeMar I'm moving for players, LaVine I'm moving for picks.
There's not really any particular FA this offseason worth spending on imo. Cap space going forward is of course good, but this offseason doesn't seem like the one to really push for a FA to me. Would be worth at least trying to get a prospect in one of the deals. Worst case they are busts and you end up with cap space anywayid take all the picks i could get in both instances. I haven’t looked at the upcoming FA’s. A rebuild is going to take more than 1 offseason anyways, so getting the process started now is still the way to goThere's not really any particular FA this offseason worth spending on imo. I mean you're absolutely correct that a rebuild would take a few years minimum. However, getting cap space in a particular offseason is really only helpful if you're either 1) signing FAs or 2) willing to act as a salary sponge for some team looking to dump a contract or act as a 3rd team in a trade to absorb salary (ideally getting picks in return as well). Otherwise you just have cap space that you're going to need to fill with random players to hit the cap floor (presuming Bulls get rid of every large contract they have for expirings).I haven’t looked at the upcoming FA’s. And in regards to a prospect or two back, sure that’s fine. It would be a rookie contract I would imagine then, those aren’t cap space wreckers. That potential cap space if they bust might not be for a couple years or so, though.
Its about having the flexibility to pull off any of those options. If you dont have the space you cant take advantage of opportunities like those as they present themselves.I mean you're absolutely correct that a rebuild would take a few years minimum. Not really disagreeing with starting the rebuild now, just saying we probably do need to take on some salary back and it's not the worst if it expires maybe 2-3 years from now instead of this offseason for free agency purposes. Not an issue to be shedding cap space along the way, I just don't see a need to clear out 50M of cap space (as in clearing out enough space to be 50M under the cap) this year when it's just someone like Paskal Siakam who's available.
Well sure, but if you get a good enough young player back maybe you don't fret as much about having the most cap space right away. That player is still a flippable asset as well as a means to get more picks later. Someone like Tyler Herro just as an example. Versus you clear all the space now, maybe something happens in the offseason where you can use the space to get an asset, maybe not. If you don't then all that cap space is just there and if there better have been a decent number of picks coming back in those earlier trades. Its about having the flexibility to pull off any of those options. We're just going to see a repeat of the last 7 yearsThey don't trade or draft well....haven't for quite awhile. The only thing they do well, surprisingly, is draw fans. Which keeps Reinsdorf happy and in town but doesn't speed up what is certain to be a long, dragged out rebuild.
If you go back and read my posts I said I’d look to load up on draft picks and expiring contractsWell sure, but if you get a good enough young player back maybe you don't fret as much about having the most cap space right away. I guess I'm not even really saying that we shouldn't get expirings, I'm more concerned with what, or how many, picks (or maybe prospects) are coming along with those expirings
Lavine only makes 45 % of his layups....LAYUPS. Sure he can drain a few 3's in a row at times and get hot but there's no consistency. This team poorly constructed. Those picks for Vuc...oof. No consistent shooters. No 50/50 balls...etc etc. Well they are about to be 4-9 so they are what they are. With a miracle 5-8. Yippee.
I’d like to see a few more seasons of this amazing product. Continuity…..Just end the torture and blow the team up already
because you posted the actual tweet and it is x.com. Copy the URL which is still twitter. For some reason tweets won't display when I post them. Not sure why.
Something changed recently regarding that, but I don't know what exactly.
