Re: Interseting about Bickell not being on cup...

ZING!!!!!!
He is correct except they have to PLAY one SC FINALS game, not just a playoff game--- Although I'm not sure Bickell played 41 games as a Hawk did he? Nor did he play any in the finals.
Prior to 1977 only players who had completed the Stanley Cup playoffs were eligible. Today, players appearing in 41 regular-season games or one Stanley Cup Final game for the championship team have their names engraved on the Cup. The NHL makes exceptions for players who do not meet the standard because of injury or other extenuating circumstances.[/quote]
You forgot to add the fact that its also at the discretion of the team that won for other reasons. For example, George Parros played a small amount of games in 2007 (I believe he played 39) and didn't play a playoff game.... yet his name got on there. Ownership there requested that the NHL accept his name on there. There was a huge stink about it out west.
If there isn't such a rule as Agent states, then I guess it truly is at the discretion of the team.
Quite simply, Maybe Rocky forgot to add Bickell on?
