BA had the Cubs rank 15 in the farm system, prior to the season....do you think that will go up or down? I say down because I saw vis twitter, they could make it in the top 10 because scouts are starting to like their system.

I would expect it to go down, but that shouldn't be looked at as a horrible thing. It will go down because our Top 10/15 prospect "graduated" from the system. Our top pitching prospect also "graduated".

Brett Jackson's value goes down a bit if he can't play CF, or if the Cubs don't want him to play CF. The lower minors are thin on high-end talent, but there are a lot of intriguing guys in AA, especially on the pitching side.

I'd guess 17-20 range.

They were in th Top 10 last year in the rankings I saw, I'd say 10-15. I find it hilarious how on MLBTR Forums that Cards fans are insisting their 29th-ranked system from last year is in the Top 10 now.

Since the actual Cubs are boring, I think I'm going to break down the season's of the more high profile Cubs prospects over the next week or two. Anybody you would like to see first, or add to the list below?

So far I figure I'll do

Hak-Ju Lee
Trey McNutt
Brett Jackson
Jay Jackson
Chris Archer
Chris Carpenter
Robinson Chirinos
Josh Vitters

Michael Brenly isn't a prospect per se, but he did have a good season.

Maybe Logan Watkins or Marquez Smith?

I still believe we have a better farm system then most think we have.

Our pitching is really good, and fairly deep, despite what we've seen this season on the big league team.

Hitting, we have a guy or two, but I'm not sure past that.

One thing I know for sure, even when it wasn't very highly ranked the past few years, we did produce some quality players.

You make it sound liek the plan is to have ho straight-up replace Castro, isn't he essentially going to replace DeWitt or whoever the 2B is then by moving Castro to 2B with him playing Short?

That's what I've been seeing but that can change. That's the plan for now.

Ya, just the way he phrased it "the man who will eventually replace Castro".

I was being sarcastic, obviously they aren't getting rid of Castro, he would obviously move to second or third base.

I never heard 3B before, but that could not be a bad move.

3B: Castro
SS: Lee
2B DJ (I like him but IDK if he's a starter.)

Yeah, I saw that but I knew what he meant and just left it alone.

Partially because you aren't in any position to correct people.

And sorry for the type-o in my previous post.

I just don't want stupid and uneducated fans to read it and get the wwrong idea. Obviously I know what he meant.

Also, I don't give a shit and it does not bother me. For example, I saw your type-o and never said anything.

Did Brett Jackson yesterday, I'm done for now, as I've pretty much done all the main prospects.

The good news is, the AFL starts soon, which means there will be plenty to track.
